Good Motherboard

Mr. F., Newegg
1 October 2004
  • Summary: This is a pretty good motherboard. Its kinda hard to wire things to it correctly. I also had a problem with the BIO once, but I think that was user error. Other than that, great mother board.

Many Problems

David B., Newegg
29 September 2004
  • Summary: Took 2 days to get it up and running. Finally figured out that this CANNOT handle 2 - 512Mb dimms running at 400mhz. Do not buy this board if you want to run PC3200 memory, it is unstable. Also had problems with finding the SATA drive to install windows.

  • Summary: Using this with a 2800+ and 512MB Kingston DDR333. Works great! At first, I thought the onboard NIC was dead, but it just won't light up until you install the windows drivers. Works like a charm! Newegg delivered it in 3 business days like they claim!

  • Summary: I built a system using this board because I've had good luck with ASUS and I liked this board's features. No problem getting it going with an AMD Barton 2500+ overclocked to 3200+ and a WD SATA harddrive.

Follow up to second purchase...

Anonymous, Newegg
15 March 2004
  • Summary: I bought another one, having bought one previously about 2 weeks ago. Everything fine with this one too, but like the previous one, seems to have a problem with reading the cpu temps...seems to read about 6-8 degrees (c) higher than normal.

Asus failed

Anonymous, Newegg
7 March 2004
  • Summary: I bought this board, because I've heard lots of good things about Asus products, but I must have gotten the short end of the stick on this one. I plugged in everything right, following the instructions in the manual and double checking that everything was right before starting it.
