Summary: Well I gave 5 starts because this mobo did everything it was supposed to, it works, can overclock both cup and ram, no problems with drivers, etc. However, there are some drawbacks which I noticed after a few months. Maybe their problems reside in the fact that this was one of the first decent mobos for an ITX build.
Summary: Built my first Mini-ITX used the AS Rock LGA1155 DDR3 SATA3 USB3.0 A GbE Mini-ITX Motherboard Z77E-ITX. It was a Win7 64bit Machine. I have no issues with this MB. Only complaint is I wish the mSATA port was in front of board, had to use the stock Intel CPU Heat sink because the backside bracket of the two aftermarket CPU Heat sinks interfered with the mSATA drive.
Summary: Installed in a BitFenix Prodigy case. This mobo is fast, fast, fast! Tons of features. I love the XFast USB feature. It speeds up the rate at which you can copy files. XFast LAN works okay. Not super great, but I'm sure it helps some. Plenty of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. Even made sure the PCI Express slot was 3.0 revision. Buy this motherboard. I am thrilled with how wonderful it has performed for me. I have owned and used this motherboard for over a month now.
Summary: It's got everything an HTPC or compact gaming rigs needs! I used this in a build as an alternative to the Zotac Z77 mini-ITX board and found it to be a suitable replacement. The EFI BIOS is very useful and it's awesome to be able to update the BIOS at the push of a button automatically, as long as the network is connected.
Summary: I needed a good board for a mini-ITX build, and, while AS Rock never came to mind, this looked like a pretty good, feature-rich board. Turns out, I was right. The board has been rock-solid stable. Setup was as easy as any other, fits well within the confines of a mini-ITX case, etc. Sound quality from the onboard sound is pretty decent, too. Overall, a good purchase. I'm definitely happy I gave AS Rock a chance.
