Pros: Decent board, runs my 2500k @ 4.5 ghz USB 3.0 PCI 3.0 4 Ram slots Good PCI placement Good Bios GUI
Cons: Bios it comes with won't recognize some keyboards (for navigating the bios). Later bios updates were worse, ended up using the bios revision #3 because it worked the best. No SLI 4 phase power means i can't overclock above 4.5 ghz without having voltage issues. Might be less of an issue on Ivy Br...
Pros: It's cheap and does the job. It's a good motherboard for a low-mid budget computer.
Cons: It seems like the most common complaint about this motherboard is how it fails after about 1-2 years. This proved true to myself as it died about 1 and a half years into ownership. I'm going to attempt to get the warranty since it has a 3 year warranty, but expect this motherboard to go out withi...
Pros: Installed very easily and everything connected to it great. It's labelled clearly so I knew where to put everything.
Cons: It seems a bit flimsy. I was afraid of snapping it when I was putting some parts onto it. It also didn't recognize that I had a graphics card installed into it, but I'm pretty sure it was a faulty card.
Summary: Maybe save someone else from a similar fate. I want to thank Asrock for not having a note or flag on the cap cover stating it was a different type of cap. Is this a new type of cap or just one I've not seen? The board I replaced it with had the cap type I am used to. It too was an Asrock.
Pros: . Only a VGA connector. Makes it simple
Cons: This board was defective in that one SATA 3 post would not detect any of several attached drives. I RMA it, but made a stupid mistake. The CPU socket pin protector was different than the usual lock in type. It fit over the socket with the lever already down. Not realizing this I tried setting it ...
Summary: This is an extremely good budget board that will do almost anything you want or need it to do. the only thing i hate is on the middle right side of the board there is no standoff so it feels like it is floating.
Summary: I paired this with an i5 K series proc and 16GB of ram and has been very solid. Easy install but some bloatware that you have to pay for if you want to upgrade to the newest version. Some people may find some of the utilities useful.
Summary: For the price, I have no real complaints. The ASRock eXtreme tuner software used to monitor and adjust clock speeds and voltages is a bit laggy, freezes up for a bit when changing clock speeds sometimes. The board does not support changing vcore voltage, just vcore voltage offset.
Summary: So far the motherboard seems fine for the price. It works well aside from one big issue. Don't bother with this board if you're wanting to use an SSD with full disk encryption. The bios doesn't support hard drive passwords so it's impossible to setup for SSDs.
