Died in 1.5 years of use

Jose G., Newegg
26 April 2015
  • Summary: Loved this board, was reliable and out of the blue it just died. I was watching sports, come back, and it's just completely died on me with no warning or sign. I heard many good things about ASRock, but for this board to die in 1.5 years while my old computer, which I gave to my parents, is still...
  • Pros: Good applications that come with the disk that can make everything easier. OC program was easy to use and understand.
  • Cons: Wasn't reliable I only overlocked this mobo last month and it died on me

Welp, first and last ASRock Product I buy

Aaron N., Newegg
15 April 2015
  • Summary: So, I purchased this product in January of 2014. I received it with no damage to any of the packaging so I assumed it was fine. I had to wait until May of 2014 to assemble the full PC (yay responsibilities) so my 30 day Newegg replacement was long gone.
  • Pros: -Very easy to install -Came with all needed parts
  • Cons: -Shipped with faulty RAM slots -Crashes my PC constantly -Sound Card is going bad -ASRock failed to respond to any of my emails about a replacement, despite me sending them a total of 10 (ten) in a few weeks

DIMM slot failed

Anonymous, Newegg
8 November 2014
  • Summary: Will never buy ASRock again. Who returns a faulty product without trying to fix it? Who returns a product without the correct packaging?
  • Pros: It was a great price and worked fine for around a year.
  • Cons: We had a problem one day which we concluded to be a DIMM slot problem. We RMA'd with ASRock and they were happy to RMA. When we received the item back from ASRock we still had the same problem from when we sent it in except now we lost money for shipping and we wasted our time. They also sent us ...

Whistles like a steam kettle

Michael S., Newegg
6 November 2014
  • Summary: Pretty disappointed. It appeared when I got the motherboard that it had already been opened as the box was not sealed and the motherboard was not properly secured to the packaging as the other AsRock Mobo I purchased had been, so Im guessing it was an RMA or some other return.
  • Pros: It worked.
  • Cons: What appears to be a capacitor on the MoBo whistles or "squeals" anytime the board gets power. The squeal is so high pitched and invasive that I can't stand to have the computer turned on. Whats more is that I have to completely disconnect power from the system to stop the noise. (I tested the po...

AS ROCK Z77 Extreme3

Alexander S., Newegg
2 October 2014
  • Summary: Asus all the way. Forget AS Rock
  • Pros: Works great, after all the hassle and just Bull from AS Rocks end. cheap board for sli. nice usb options. good OC potential. Ram availability is good as well.
  • Cons: So AS rock was a complete idiot for this i think. they didnt have the bracket in the back of the mobo to support A screw on lga1155 heatsink. so what did i have to do? since i already took apart all of my stuff and decided well i might as well improvise, i took the bracket off my old mobo and had...
