Summary: Lightning storm blew my last motherboard in my Dell XPS8300 so I was looking for an almost like for like replacement. This worked very well, the only gripe I have is that there are only two DIMM slots for memory where my old board had four..no biggie. More of a PITA was the fact that if you have a decent sized GFX card installed the SATA sockets are right below the GFX card. I had to go out and buy SATA leads with 90 degree connectors to get them to fit.
Summary: Yeah, seems like it would be a pretty awesome board... if it weren't for the bent pins. The packaging is nice, the product looks good and the features are nice as well. You know, except for the bent pins? Not much else to say about it.
Summary: While carrying the RAM curse of all my motherboards where one slot just doesn't work - It's other than that excellent. Apart from the BIOS on startup that has decided to warn me about that one time I didn't have the keyboard plugged in and that I should check if everything is setup properly. Yes ASRock, we're 6 months in now and it's still the exact same as last startup. Give it a rest.
