Summary: NONE. I own the X79Extreme 9 and the X79Extreme 6. Both boards are dead. Cons: ASrock. For the last 2 years I have sent the X79Extreme 9 motherboard back to asrock 4 times with problems, asrock have sent me back the same motherboard with the same problems. I recently sent the X79Extreme 9 back to asrock, along with my CPU, Hard drive and my Memory and on the 21 of April 2014, I received the same motherboard back with the same issues.
Summary: Lots of sata ports on this mobo. I love it! I have had no issues so far, and I have had it for about a month now and nothing but greatness from this board. Overclocking is very simple to do. The "EZ OC" is literally a drop down menu and you get to choose how far you would like to OC. I can't remember exactly how high it goes, but I do know there are options above 5.0ghz! As of right now, I have been dealing with the 4.2 OC.
Summary: the quality and workmen ship of this motherboard is out standing I had no issues with installing it and setting it up everything works great. The only CONS I have with this motherboard is it only has one PCI 2.0 x 1 on it and the sound card uses it and it don't have WIFI on it.
Summary: I did a lot of research prior to picking an X79 2011 mother board for what is only my second build and with some nervousness ordered the Asrock Extreme9 Lga2011 X79 board. Sure enough the first board I got had an issue with one of the sata ports but Amazon arranged a replacement board with no issue and a FAST turn around. With the new board and the no hassle exchange I am extremely pleased with my purchase.
Summary: It worked for my needs of 12 SATA drives. Difficult to set up RAID, took a while again no support. But my main issue is that when you put the CPU to "SLEEP" it wakes up and the sound is off. Have to turn the computer off and back on to get sound. Note: the sound card, comes with the MoBD and is installed in a PCI slot. I tried every setting and still no sound after SLEEEP mode. AGAIN NO Response from AROCK EVER! They just do not exist.
Summary: Purchased to run with a 4930K that I purchased on the release date. The board came with bios 2.3 which resulted in a 00 Dr. Debug code as mentioned by previous reviewer. Not a problem, a quick email to Asrock resulted in them sending me a new bios chip with 3.6 free of charge without any hesitation or further questions. It appears that some suppliers (and evidently Amazon) have some old stock, Asrock are shipping new boards with the latest bios chip.
Summary: Bought this along with an Ivybridge CPU. It was advertised as Ivybridge compatible. Didn't POST at all. Dr.Debug digits showed 0x00 which was not listed as meaning anything. Had to put a Sandybridge CPU in from my other PC to get to POST, then flash bios 3.60, then the Ivybridge CPU worked ok.
