Asrock X79 Extreme9 Socket 2011 Motherboard

Pro-Clockers
28 July 2014
  • Excerpt: The X79 Extreme9 shares the spotlight with the newly released X79 Professional which is under the Fatal1ty line. The Extreme9 has the features and options that the hard-core overclocker and enthusiast will look for in a new board to play around with. It begins with the 16+2 power phase configuration along with high-end caps and full featured AXTU overclocking software. But the overclocker isn’t the only people Asrock is aiming the Extreme9 at.

ASRock X79 Extreme9 LGA 2011 Motherboard Review

[H] Enthusiast

  • Summary: I’m left thinking back on my time with the ASRock X79 Extreme9 and I’ve honestly got mixed feelings about it. The feature set is good. The Game Blaster was a decent setup, certainly a cut above Realtek audio CODECs if only by a small margin. It’s the only board that actually let me use all the RAID controllers at once, albeit with some conditions having to be met.

  • Summary: Our experiences around here with ASRock haven’t been the best. Though the last one we tested actually did really well. As a result of our great experiences with the Extreme4 we can only hope the ASRock X79 Extreme9 follows suit. The Extreme9 is ASRock's most expensive Sandy Bridge E motherboard, we hope it acts like it.

ASRock X79 Extreme9 Review - Price For Performance?

AnandTech

  • Conclusion: When I first heard that ASRock were producing an X79 Extreme9,  I was a little confused - previously they've not gone above Extreme7, and their Fatal1ty range caters for the gaming crowd.  Their lower end models tend to be some of the cheapest around (e.g. Extreme3/4), and their Extreme7 sat nicely in the midrange.

  • Summary: I'm a big fan of ASRock boards; they've always hit at an amazing price point, offered some good features and have always been strong in the overclock department. They've not been the strongest, but they've been at a level where considering what you pay, there's some excellent overclocking potential on offer.

  • Conclusion: I’m going to say it again, and probably will do whenever I recieve an ASRock board with this design. The styling behind this looks like it was dreamt up by gods, and I’m not a relgious person in the slightest, but only someone special could make a motherboard like this look so attractive.

ASRock X79 Extreme9 Motherboard Review

Hardware Canucks
27 February 2012
  • Conclusion: There is no denying it; ASRock has made some huge gains in the last year or so by moving away from their old “one size fits all” mentality. Now, with the introduction of the Extreme9 they’re aiming to be a bona fide competitor against the likes of ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI in the overclocking realm.
  • Pros: - Relatively bug free UEFI BIOS, - Stable EZ OC of 4.8Ghz, - Game Blaster module is a nice addition, - XFast USB gives huge USB 3.0 transfer speeds, - HyperDuo Plus Technology included for those that want SSD caching, - 8 DIMM slots allow for 32GB of memory on a budget
  • Cons: - No cold bug fix for C0 CPUs, - No onboard sound, Game Blaster only, - BCLK and memory overclocking could use some work, - Instant boot utility did not work, - Onboard power / reset buttons blocked by GPU install in third PCI-E slot

Обзор материнской платы ASRock X79 Extreme9 – короля оверклокинга

simplereview.ru
1 December 2014
