Summary: I've got a pretty unusual build. 5960x OC @ 4.5GHz water cooled 2x 7970 DCII OC 1200 MHz water cooled 2x R9 280x OC 1200 MHz water cooled 16GB Gskill DDR4 Ram @ 3000MHz I went to this board from an Asrock X79 extreme11 for the DDR4 ram and 2011v3 socket because my game rig was cpu bottlenecked.
Pros: Four PCI-E X16 slots Ridiculous disk capacity socket 2011v3
Cons: -Bios layout not ideal for overclocking. Vcore is not in the voltage menu. -Board pwr HDD light and Reset jumpers need to be moved for quad GPU configurations. I had to bend the pins at a 45 degree angle to clear the last VGA card.
Summary: Of all the parts I received, this was the only one from Newegg that was not sealed. I have not yet used all the options but so far the major features work flawlessly. If you're doing media creation or simulations this is an excellent board. You won't run out of horsepower or storage options.
Pros: 1. I've been looking for a versatile board for a long time. Finally a board supporting decent processing power, large capacity ECC memory, multiple GPU, and a wide selection of input/output formats. 2. Board has been reliable so far. 3. On board DTC 4. 2 front side USB3 headers, USB2 headers, and...
Cons: Cost aside, about the only opportunity I see so far for this board is the south bridge fan. Not sure if it's an aerodynamic or a balance issue, but it is noisy and runs a high enough frequency the noise goes through the case fan holes. Hopefully in the future quiet equipment will not be considere...
Summary: This board is ideal for media creation, since it offers not only the superior SLI capabilities, but has many more SATA III ports by use of the LSI 3008 chip. This chip is excellent, and data rates are very close to what you can achieve with the X99 chip,
Pros: Comment on "best motherboard ever made", while that may be true, the reviewer stated that there are (2) Intel X99 chips that allow for (4) PCIe x 16 lanes. The (4) 16x lanes are accomplished by (2) PLX 8747 chips, not the X99 chips, so please stand corrected.
Cons: None to date, but buyer must really read specs very carefully and understand them before buying. Also if you are not a certified Microsoft Tech, then don't say you have very high tech knowledge, this is simply misleading to the community

Summary: Had to replace the first one that I bought as it did not function properly and was tough to diagnose as a problem when building a computer from scratch. The second replacement motherboard (same identical make/model/manufacturer) worked as expected.
Summary: EDIT: Updates are at the bottom of the review! Hey All, So I have just finished up building a new desktop PC and this is the second motherboard I went with and I have to say while I am overall happy (note the 4 stars) I am a bit disappointed as well.
Summary: Fantastic looking motherboard with everything you need in spades. Problem: The BIOS chip included with this motherboard is outdated and will not work with an Intel i7-3820 chip. The motherboard will show error AF. Good luck solving this problem via google!
