Unbelievable!

Ashton B., Newegg
18 November 2015
  • Summary: I can't believe it. ASRock responded to my last review about the X99 Extreme11 by directing me to a cable that is rated to handle only 6 Gb/s bandwidth like that solves the problem.
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Everything

YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS S*&T UP

Ashton B., Newegg
11 November 2015
  • Summary: The ASRock X99 Extreme11 advertizes itself as a MOBO that has 8 SAS-3 ports on it. However the SAS-3 ports are the same form factor as a seven-pin SATA connector. In the MOBO manual it states "For connecting SAS HDDs, please contact SAS data cable dealers" because ASRock does not include the SAS-3...
  • Pros: NONE
  • Cons: SAS-3

Terrible board, Terrible Customer Service

Tyler N., Newegg
4 June 2015
  • Summary: Took a chance with ASRock, wish I hadn't. After nothing but problems with this board, I contacted their tech support, who had me try one thing. After that failed, they then told me I had "a compatible problem" and I should return the board for a refund.
  • Pros: Fast when it was booted
  • Cons: - Took 10-15 attempts to make it through the bootloader every reboot/start. - Fast Boot / Ultra Fast boot just doesn't work.

Bios Issues

Stephen H., Newegg
19 January 2015
  • Summary: Had 3 VGA cars, ! Raid card and ! m2 socket card running fine in a MSI x99 Gaming 9--guess I should have stuck with that and I wouldn't have spent another $500 for a second Samsung xp941--this is a ridiculous problem.
  • Pros: Nice board-loaded with features
  • Cons: Bios issues-If I try to install 3 vga cards and 1 raid card in the PCi-e slots I lose the M2 card slots(both of them) and 1 of the Lan Ports--the bios will not assign resources to allow that configuration and a board with a tremendous variety of options is NOT a board with options when you can't ...

Tom B., Newegg
12 November 2014
  • Summary: I have installed Windows 8.1 twice... and Windows 8 twice.. I get WHEA uncorrectable errors. I called tech support to no avail. The bios is not up to date like other boards on the market. Im not a happy camper.
  • Pros: Has lots of awesome features
  • Cons: None of the features work.

  • Summary: I hate asrock products almost as much as I hate ups. I will buy me another motherboard but you can bet it will NOT be asrock. In all of my life I have never seen a company ran as poorly as asrock.
  • Pros: NONE. I do not own this motherboard, THANKS TO THE Almighty. I do own the X79Extreme 9 and the X79Extreme 6. Both boards are dead. For the 5th time in the last two years I will have to RMA X79Extreme 9 board. I think it is time for asrock to pay for shipping both ways.
  • Cons: ASrock. For the 5th time I will have to RMA the X79 EXTreme9. Not only am I getting BSOD 3 to 4 times a day but the PCI express1 died. Hopefully asrock will send me a new motherboard this time, but I will not hold my breath. For the last 2 years I have sent the X79Extreme 9 motherboard back to as...
