ASRock X79 Extreme11 Motherboard Review

ThinkComputers
15 November 2012
  • Summary: Final Thoughts ASRock set out to create the “Ultimate X79 Motherboard” and I really think they have.  Think about the features you would want on a motherboard, I’m pretty sure this motherboard has them!  The biggest feature of this board is the seven PCIe 3.0 x16 slots.  I have not seen that many PCIe slots on a motherboard!  Even more impressive is that you can run 4 cards at x16 speed!
  • Pros: 7 PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (4 cards can run at x16), 14 SATA ports (10 are SATA 6GB/s), Great for overclocking, Quality components, USB 3.0 support, UEFI BIOS
  • Cons: Price (although it is justified, but puts it out range for most people), Weak accessory package

ASRock X79 Extreme11 Review: PCIe 3.0 x16/x16/x16/x16 and LSI 8-Way SAS/SATA

  • Conclusion: ASRock X79 Extreme11 To conclude, it is hard to judge a motherboard like the ASRock X79 Extreme11.  With no other major competing products offering similar functionality, ASRock can charge a pretty penny for the product.  However, does it still retain the usefulness or bang for buck in terms of performance?

ASRock Fatal1ty X79 Champion Intel LGA2011

techPowerUp!
10 August 2012
  • Summary: After spending a lot of time with the ASRock Fatal1ty X79 Champion, although the results were a bit low on the CPU side, the low power consumption and obvious reasoning as to why it underperformed, has left me quite happy with the complete package. ASRock has some software that really appeals to me, mainly XFastRam, something that no other board maker offers.
  • Pros: Excellent feature bundle for the price., Nicely optimized and truly useful BIOS and software package., Excellent clocking capability., Fantastic audio rendering., Excellent power consumption., Clean and simple color-themed layout., Fully functional AMI UEFI BIOS, including mouse support and support for 3 TB+ drives.
  • Cons: CPU performance with tested hardware is a bit underwhelming., Quad-SLI support requires an additional bridge purchase., BIOS is in need of some minor fixes., Not enough cables provided for all internal SATA ports.

X79 Motherboard Roundup: ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte

HotHardware
9 March 2012
  • Excerpt: Intel’s X58 chipset made for great platform performance, and even though the chip maker has unleashed many more chipsets since the X58 came out, there hasn’t been a true successor in the high-end of their product line-up (not even the Z68 chipset) until now. The X79 chipset looks to pick up the X58’s poll position, so we decided to bench test a few motherboards from ASRock, ASUS, and Gigabyte to see how Intel's new flagship performs.
  • Pros: Solid performance, Excellent overclocking tools and good headroom, Great features, Good looks
  • Cons: Price

  • Excerpt: Recently we checked out the ASRock X79 Extreme4 which did a good job of impressing us with its strong performance and excellent price point. Jump forward just a little and we find ourselves looking at another motherboard following a similar naming scheme in the form of the ASRock X79 Extreme4-M.

Tweak Town

  • Excerpt: ASRock have actually come to the party a little later than we'd normally expect with the launch of the new X79 chipset from Intel. Usually being one of the first companies to have a mass of boards come our way, they instead started to trickle in a little after launch.

Asrock X79 Extreme 11: Superdotazione da Workstation

insidehardware.it
28 May 2014
