Simple, compatible and works without issue.

N.Courage "[ ; )", Amazon
1 January 2015
  • Summary: I must give this a perfect score. I am using this in the computer I'm using to write this review. It works without any added or needed attention. AMD gives us a very economical way to upgrade our basic computers. This is in a home office machine that's used daily.

very sturdy build, just enough ports for what I needed

Terrance, Amazon
29 July 2014
  • Summary: Needed a quick and small upgrade from my old motherboard and this did the trick. Quickly POSTs Bios and loads windows, very sturdy build, just enough ports for what I needed. Dual slots can be a bit of a pain to deal with but it worked for me since I had some old DDR2 RAM and DDR3 RAM laying around...

Works well, but limited

Jeremiah C., Newegg
8 November 2013
  • Summary: A SCSI card must work for my home business to run. Tape Drives are used for archiving data and HD's aren't as cheap to run as tape. Using an older Adaptec 2940UW has been acceptable, but the 29160 is a much faster card. The card not working correctly in this board is disappointing to say the least.
  • Pros: I bought this board when my previous ASRock board went belly-up during a firmware upgrade. It's hybrid DDR2 DDR3 ability makes it an excellent choice for those on limited budgets who need to upgrade components one at a time, which is exactly what I did. Updating the firmware using the Instant Fla...
  • Cons: The 7.1 surround sound does NOT work in any version of Ubuntu. Stereo output only. Mic Jack works. Adaptec 29160N SCSI card does NOT work with this board. The board refuses to POST 99% of the time. The 1% works great, but this configuration is NOT reliable. I disabled serial ports, parallel ports...

Works Great

Nichelle H., Newegg
2 March 2013
  • Pros: Have yet to have a problem. Love the Bios, and the on-board Vid card is very handy when my quest for a New Gaming Card began. Love it had an IDE port on it as-well, made my cannibalizing a lot easier and saved me a bunch.
  • Cons: N/A
