  • Summary: The Motherboard works great and I am able to overclock everything is stable and nothing was broken! Seller shipped on time with no problems and was cheap. The only few complaints i would say is it was just the motherboard and no other things included in the packaging not even the back plate for the...

  • Pros: When it worked, it worked great. The auto OC feature was awesome and dual video cards worked great.
  • Cons: It's dead after 4 years usage. I expected to get at least 6.

  • Pros: Great motherboard, well written manual, easy to set up, connectors on the motherboard for just about anything you could imagine.
  • Cons: For some reason cannot ever get it to do a warm boot, I have a ticket in to ASRock tech support so they can tell me if I knocked something loose.

  • Summary: NEWEGG is making the whole process of exchange very painless. Thank you NewEgg!!!
  • Pros: Great options for the price, Crossfire ready, tons of functions in a great package.
  • Cons: Could never get it to pass POST. Tried every memory configuration the manual suggested and anything I could think of, still just a black screen. Have tested every other component in a different system so the only thing left is the board - DOA. Will post a second review as soon as I get my replace...

So far, soooo good!

  • Summary: I work as a sysadmin, and have used Cray supercomputers, crazy 16 core xeon systems, and clients cool RAID10 servers... I have never used a system _nearly_ as quick as this: Mobo: SRock M3A780GXH/128M Proc: AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz (clocked at 3.3 - cool and stable (200x15)) PSU : COOLMAX...
  • Pros: Worked perfectly at 1800mhz and 7-7-7-20. I have pushed two sticks to 6-6-6-20, and have been stable under load for a few days now (temperatures only went up a few degrees Celsius). 6-6-6-20 at 1800mhz! It's what friggin dreams are made of!
  • Cons: None at all! Could be free, and the heatsinks certainly don't have to be _that_ tall.

  • Pros: Solid board great BIOS for overclocking
  • Cons: Unlocking my 550 BE didn't work, had to underclock to 1.6 Ghz to POST and still bluescreened at windows loading screen.

1st one was DOA, 2nd works great!

  • Pros: Tons of sata ports, great on board video (if you use it). All and all, great purchase for the price. Over clocking is a breeze with the software it comes with.
  • Cons: First one was DOA. Spent a good 12 frustrating hours trying to figure out if I was missing something. But, that happens. Newegg has made the replacement process painless.

  • Summary: Should be a great mobo, when it works that is. We'll see if the new one works.
  • Pros: Came with all components
  • Cons: DOA. Now I have to wait forever to get a replacement, oh, the downsides to purchasing online. ;( Oh yeah and I have to pay out of pocket to ship back junk!

Very nice board, a few gotchas

Anonymous, Newegg
2 September 2009
  • Summary: Definitely not designed for smaller cases, but if you're building a gamer rig, most video cards and heatsinks won't fit in a smaller case anyway. I installed it in one of the better Antec cases and had plenty of room to spare.
  • Pros: Great price, all the ports you'll need. Even has a 1394 in the back panel and pins for one on the board for cases with a front panel firewire port. Multiple 3 pin fan connectors for case / power supply fans. Well designed with nothing in the way of longer video cards in any of the PCI-Express x16...
  • Cons: ATI video built in (doh!) but I bought it with the intention of running an nVidia PCI-Express 16 card. Floppy connector all the way at the bottom of the board. None of the fan connectors were near my fans and my fans had short cables so I ended up using drive power cords for them. Running SLI wou...

Decent board

Greg T., Newegg
29 August 2009
  • Summary: Can't complain too much, It's given me no problems so far. It does what I needed, and at a good price.
  • Pros: Reasonbably priced. Has the features I needed, including Firewire header for front port on the case.
  • Cons: I don't like that 4 of the 6 SATA ports point forward. There's not much room between them and the hard drive trays in my case. Also, when using the auto-overclock feature, it disabled Cool'n'Quiet. To overclock and keep Cool'n'Quiet, you need to manually adjust the speeds.
