Excerpt: Intel's H77 chipset isn't really one that we've followed too closely. So much so that I had to actually bring myself to search TweakTown to see if I had actually reviewed a board that uses the chipset. A quick search discovers that we haven't which makes this review become even more important as we take our first look at the H77 chipset.
Excerpt: This is one of the few motherboards in our roundup to use the cheaper H77 chipset. The major difference is a single x16 PCIe 3.0 lane that can’t be split across two PCIe slots but even when utilising this board’s SLI and CrossFire capabilities we doubt you’ll notice any difference. It still packs the usual Intel quad SATA 3Gbps and dual SATA 6Gbps ports but ASRock has added two more SATA 6Gbps ports powered by an ASMedia chip.
Pros: Solid performance 3 x PCI slots two extra SATA 6Gbps ports.
