Summary: My room is fairly dusty. That's all I can think of. Now I am thinking for the price I've spent on two I should have bought something better. I will try to RMA them, but I don't want to use them anymore.
Pros: Awesome MB, has many great right features, slightly limited but you know that when you buy it.
Cons: I've had 2 fail in less than a year. I am not sure what is happening here, but when powering down (sleep) I lost one, when shutting down (forced shut down) I lost the other. Both times I blamed the power supply, but I just checked them with the paperclip and to my surprise both my old power suppl...
Summary: I bought ASRock because Toms Hardware said it was a great value and I see that, but this experience was not without issues. Support was also sometimes slow in replying to emails. Their replies were limited to one, maybe two sentences at best.
Pros: Recent technologies, Sata6, Usb3 Nice UEFI BIOS layout HDMI and DVI Ivy Bridge Support*
Cons: We bought 3 of this board and 3 i5-3550. The bios was not updated to accept IB CPUs. I thought "that's fine I'll just flash it with the newest firmware." This doesn't work as it will not post without a compatible CPU first. When I contacted support they seemed to know exactly the issue and sent o...
Pros: Reasonable board, HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs Easy setup
Cons: DVI and HDMI run on the same digital channel both outputs cannot be enabled at the same time. VGA connector is extremely weak and shallow, you have to work extremely hard to get a VGA to seat properly and stay in-slot. We ordered two, one died after a week and a half, no obvious capacitor failure...
Summary: Upgraded to an MSI H67MA-E45 and the difference in quality is obvious...and should be for twice the cost. Lesson learned again...the more you spend the better the quality. I know this is not always the case but in general...yeah it is!
Pros: Worked for the first 2 weeks with no issues. Bought to build my first computer from scratch. Should have started with a gaming system and not a mission critical business use system.
Cons: Dead as a doornail one morning. After troubleshooting every component, figure out the motherboard is dead.
Summary: i used to like ASROCk, the one problem i always had with them was usually the placement of the 4 pin CPU atx plug, which is still askew...wil most likley NOT purchase an ASROCK mobo in the future..
Pros: Not alot, decent price for 6 SATA's (2- 6gb and 4- 3gb) runs? is that a pro?
Cons: installed W7 64 and drivers, device manager still showed ONE missing driver? downloaded ALL new drivers from ASROCK site, still not resolved, flashed bios ! viola problem solved...this is sloppy workmanship. Also the CPU fan settings even at low are TOO HIGH and make the once quiet CPU fan TOO LO...
