Definitely love this motherboard

Sean B., Newegg
21 February 2012
  • Summary: Build: i7 2700k EVGA 580GTX ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional Crucial M4 Corsair AX850 4x4GB G.Skill Ripjaw X Series 1333 Thermaltake Level 10 GT
  • Pros: Great motherboard, plenty of room and easy design. Haven't toyed with OC'ing on this bad boy yet, but I imagine I'll get the itch soon enough.
  • Cons: Only issue I've had with this board is, when I boot up windows, it takes about a minute to a minute and a half for my USB devices to be read. This wouldn't be a problem, except my mouse is USB, so I essentially cannot do anything when my computer boots up for over a minute. This defeats the purpo...

Board looks really good.

Jae E., Newegg
28 December 2011
  • Summary: I had to RMA my first board because of a faulty southbridge chip, but DR debug really helped me out in the trouble shooting process. I also sneezed while putting the second board in and ended up bending one of the audio pins for the front panel -_- bent it back into place but i get a bit of static,...
  • Pros: First off let me start off by saying that this board looks incredible. I was thinking about getting the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme, but opted for this board because of its relatively similar features, and similar color scheme. This is one of the few quality Red&Black Motherboards that come with a ni...
  • Cons: ASrock customer support is non existant. The only real flaw I would like to point out about this board is the Fatal1ty branding. I'm not that picky about it so the Fatal1ty lettering on the board itself, and programs/bios doesn't bother me much. **BUT going as far as to put his begotten face on t...

Good Board for the $$$

jatinder k., Newegg
22 December 2011
  • Summary: I had bought this to run 2 590's on in a nvidia surrond configuration but when the cards didn't perform like I had hoped I had to exchange this board for one that would do good with 3 cards.
  • Pros: Worked good right out of the box and overclocked easy!
  • Cons: Only good for 1 to 2 video cards.

Impressive!

Brian L., Newegg
14 December 2011
  • Summary: Overall, I'm very happy with this board. Easy to set up and get running and has been very stable since I installed it (haven't tried OCing yet) ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional Intel Core i7 2600 8Gb Kingston HyperX XMP 2 eVGA GTS450 SLI'd (nVidia Surround)
  • Pros: PATA and floppy support! LOTS of USB 3.0 ports. 4 on rear panel and 2 more on the board (internal header) Diagnostic LEDs on the board are a great tool! Every board should have this. Great looking board with a good layout (for the most part, see cons)
  • Cons: I haven't been able to get the eSATA port working. The SATA ports are on the edge of the board which made it difficult to plug in the cables (I have a CoolerMaster Centurion case) as there wasn't much room between the board and the drive cages. Fatal1ty boot screen... I had to turn it off.

Good board, but fatal1ty branding over done

Mark W., Newegg
15 September 2011
  • Summary: After I bought the board, I learned what Fatal1ty is - a professional video game player who apparently makes millions. I guess he is so famous that his name is readily recognizable by other video game enthusiasts, which I suppose makes his "brand" worth something to them.
  • Pros: Good feature set and nice layout. Very simple to overclock my Intel Core i7-2600K 3.4GHz CPU to 4.2GHz. Board looks really nice. The packaging was impressive. I bought the Fatal1ty version of the board because it was the only one that had the IDE connector, which I liked because I had 2 older HDD...
  • Cons: Can't get my G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR3 1866 memory to actually work at 1866. I've tried everything but I ALWAYS get memory errors reported from memtest. If I clock the RAM at 1600 it works flawlessly. The motherboard did this same thing with two different sets of ...

Quality product

Jay S., Newegg
13 September 2011
  • Summary: Purchased this and an i5 2500k after AMD's Bulldozer got delayed again. Pretty happy with my purchase. Had to overvolt RAM slightly to get four sticks to work.
  • Pros: * Well laid-out, with labels on everything on the motherboard. I didn't have to look to the manual for too much. * Graphical BIOS * Handy features like a power/reset button mounted to the motherboard and a numerical error code display instead of beep codes. * Large enough to mount a Scythe Mugen ...
  • Cons: * It would be nice if it had two real PCIe 16x slots. * If you have two video cards that are long, you can't really get at the power/reset buttons and error code display.

Exceptional Board and a Bargain Price

Steven K., Newegg
15 August 2011
  • Summary: Overall this board is outstanding. It does miss some of the bells and whistles you get with boards that are $100+ more, but you don't miss out any of the performance. And this board offers legacy support, unlike the other boards out there.
  • Pros: Great value for a top performance board. Love the color scheme. Tons of internal and external hookups, even FDD and IDE support, and a USB 3.0 external box for front or rear case installation. Support for LGA775 CPU coolers. Overclocks fairly easily. I've already run as high as 4.8GHz using the a...
  • Cons: Not enough fan connectors. I really hate not being able to see the status or not having control of all the fans from the motherboard. Only two of the SATA3 ports can be used for RAID. Maximum bootable RAID size is 2TB, so you can have 2x2TB in RAID 1 or 2x1TB in RAID 0. This seems to be a limitat...

Solid board for both gamers and workstations

Ian S., Newegg
3 August 2011
  • Summary: Mine shipped with slight damage to the upper right of the board. One capacitor was bent (not in anyway hanging or detached) and the 3 pin fan header was bent as well, with the plastic guide for the fan connector snapped off.
  • Pros: -16 phase power -Can throttle fans on 3 pin headers as well as 4 pin -Comprehensive cooling policy options in BIOS -Low profile NB heatsink accomodates full length sound cards in top slot -Lots of goodies and extra cables in the box (came with SIX Sata 6gb cables)
  • Cons: -Ram installation was a bit wonky -Bottom 3 pin fan header can't be automatically variated, must set to one of 4 speeds and leave it there -Would like to be able to re program the debug LED to show temps or something. Can't do this, it shuts off right after the POST. -UEFI bios is confusing -LLC ...

Bang for the Buck

James P., Newegg
12 May 2011
  • Summary: All in all I am pleased with this motherboard. For the price range, I would buy this again. If I had 100 USD more... I would have gone for the Maximus IV in a heartbeat though. I did run into some issues with the sata connections. They are very finicky, so make sure to read the manual for this.
  • Pros: ~Sleek, sexy design (the black/red theme matches many modern enthusiast color schemes) Looks great in my Corsair 800D. ;) ~ Plenty of room to dual SLI 2x double slot GPU's (possibly triple, but it would be tight...) ~ Most of the bells and whistles... including 2x lan ports and plenty of USB 3.0 ...
  • Cons: ~ The guys face. No, this is honestly annoying enough to be a big con. It is everywhere... on the box, on the bios, on the driver disc, on the manual. I understand branding, but this is more of a desperate "Look at me guys!" attempt. ~ Would have liked more fan connections, but I say this about e...
