Summary: Now the waiting begins, I expect them to send me a refurbed board after I paid good money for a new one. I notice newegg is out of stock of these boards, I wonder if they will be discontinued. However if they make this good, I promise to update my review
Pros: When it worked
Cons: This board booted right up, it was all downhill from there. I used the installation disc, which was supposed to allow me to make a raid disc, didn't happen. The drivers did not work, went to Asrock web sight and got them. Would work for a few hours, then suddenly the usb drivers disapeared. No mo...
Summary: new egg understands that the fault was with the board being defective but because the board shows damage i cannot get a refund, or rma through newegg and get the pleasure of trying to defend myself to the manufacturer
Pros: Everything seemed to be running seamless, recognized everything without a problem and then it happened...
Cons: after about 1 hour of use the cpu fan headers shorted and the inner connection back to the power fried it self, it literally burned itself in half.... like smoke and popping luckily i had the psu power button in reach as if it would have continued to receive power it may have caught fire.
Summary: Depending on what's broken, AsRock had better step up to this. I don't want to make Newegg swallow the hurt for AsRock's shoddy quality.
Pros: Looks good, nice features, I really wanted to love this board.
Cons: Dead within less than 24 hours of use. No boot with post code 00. I have tried all the basic troubleshooting steps and at this point it seems that either the brand new FX-8350 is dead or the board is. If you are an AsRock rep reading this, go find my support ticket on your site and get to work on...
Summary: I phoned support, "John" said the board "should" be fine, I agreed, but it wasn't, four of them weren't. I asked for the name of the head person and never got a reply. ASRock would not exchange for a lesser model board.
Pros: None I could find. Well it comes with some nice SATA cables.
Cons: I RMAed two to Newegg, plus two to ASRock after the 30 days expired. None would post more than once.
Cons: It doesn't not work with all of the processors listed. Be careful if you are buying this for a AM3+ processor as you will be luck if it works with it. I've already had to RMA this once and of course the second one arrived not working as well and now new egg won't refund the second one so I am scr...
Summary: Had more written but when pressing the Submit button I was logged out of Newegg and all the writeup info was lost. I'm not impressed with this board as it is slower than my 7 year old ASUS MB with a dual core CPU. There is a lack of driver support and the Raid setup is limited.
Pros: Two network ports
Cons: Not to stable of a platform and have too many problems installing XP64 on this board. 1. Can not make XP64 driver disks on floppy as there is no floppy support on this board. Also can not just put the DVD into another computer to create the driver disk as it look for it own motherboard and will n...
Summary: Bad right out of the box, no video signal to the monitor. Called support and couldn't understand what the foriegn tech was telling me, so I asked for a supervisor and the tech hung up on me. Called back and asked for a manager, he didn't seem to care that his techs are hanging up on customers.
