Summary: I bought the board for HTPC use, but when connected to TV via HDMI HD stream just hangs. On smaller monitor I can play HD, but it's constantly buffering and "choppy". Even web surfing is slow. I regret buying this board, it's good for nothing.
Pros: Compact, low power consumption, comes with CPU already attached.
Cons: Slow, HD video virtually non existent even on 18" screen.
Cons: Would not boot off my usb dvd drive. Tried 2 different drives with no luck. I tried every config that the bios offered. Funny thing was that the usb had power after it was turned off. I was kinda sickened when the driver disk was a google ad for chrome. I will avoid ASROCK in the future.
Summary: This board worked flawlessly for 14 months but failed soon after. As my first purchase of a ASRock product, I find it disappointing that the board failed in light home use and I am out the cost of the board.
Pros: This is a nice feature packed board at a good price.
Cons: This board was used as a 4 disk NAS with 2 disk mirrors. 14 months after purchase, (2 months after warranted end), SATA channels 1 and 4 started dropping. I tried new drives with the same behavior. Drives were not only missing in OS but also were absent in the BIOS utilities. I updated the BIOS a...
Summary: Not enough horse power to record and play back at the same time. Even watching a movie in VLC or XBMC while WMC recorded resulted in poor play back and poor recording. Frequent stutters watch Netflix even when nothing else was being recorded.
Pros: Low Power consumption. small footprint.
Cons: About a month after installing the motherboard the LAN started to have intermittent troubles. Even though it was enabled Traffic would cease to move. Disabling and enabling worked but the problem grew more frequent. Since I use the board in a home theater PC as a DVR With Silicone Dust Cable card...
Summary: I've had great luck with ASRock boards in the past... This board, however is making me question whether or not I'll continue with ASRock in the future. I thought I had recieved a DOA board. It would not POST. Fan would spin, HDDs would spin up, but no display, and no beep.
Pros: All in one solution. Four SATA ports. eSATA <35watts power consumption
Cons: Will not POST without PS2 device attached (with 1.40 UEFI) Will not resume from sleep in Windows 7
