Summary: i used this board in an arch linux based htpc / nas server. this little mobo runs 1080p video like a champ via xbmc! i was not disappointed by the network streaming speeds either! the vanilla linux kernel (3.15.5-2) supports every mode i has used so far. for the price, this board is awesome!
Summary: I gave this mobo a four star only because as a Linux user, the built in ATI video controller does not have a suitable matching driver for it. I only had to utilize the pciex slot to install a Nvidia card I had from my old build. Everything is fine, and I have more than enough power for my needs. with 8 GBs of ram installed. I thought there would be a USB 3 plug, but that was my confusion when shopping around for mobo's & hardly anybody else's fault but my own.
Summary: the first one would not support any video. after returning it I purchased different memory (DDR3 8 Gb the first time, DDR3 4Gb the second) the replacement motherboard would not accept the 8Gb either ? it's suppose to support 16Gb but ?
Summary: I used this motherboard to make a low power computer for serving the web and other low end task to keep the ware and tear off my main gaming computer. Also with clever fan setup you can have an almost silent computer.
Summary: Got this up and running quickly, with 4 GB Ram, 1 TB HDD (had that lying around), DVD drive. Ubuntu 13.1 desktop loaded easily. May load server and use this to build a small NAS, possibly with added 4xSata RAID card. I paid 70.00 and notice the price just went up by 18. Still a good value. Does not play 1080p video (Youtube or Prime) smoothly (Internet connection is not the issue, have a 30/5 Mbps Comcast). Seems fine with 720p, but I did not get it for that.
