Summary: I have set up security password for my BIOS and now I cannot remove it. All features related to this are inactive when I go back to BIOS. I submitted this issue to the support and they said I needed to clear the CMOS.
Pros: - Easy to set up. - Acceptable features for the size and price
Cons: - Cannot remove BIOS password after set up one. - Computer keeps coming back on although I've tried all the possible wake-up features - Horrible customer service. Extremely rude and unwilling to resolve your issue. They don't care about the customer!!!
Summary: Don't let this put you off from purchasing AsRock motherboards. They make a good product. For the sheer volume we do, an occasional glitch can be expected. We have used a lot of them and we would not hesitate to recommend it.
Pros: Have used AsRock boards for several years now and we are very happy with them over-all. Good feature set. Reasonable priced. Decent B.I.O.S. settings Very few problems for the amount of boards we go thru.
Cons: Will get an occasional board that will not P.O.S.T. If we don't put the board in service within 30 days, we cannot return it to Newegg and must deal with manufacturer RMA procedure, even though it was D.O.A. out of the box. We attempted this today, and after replying to the AsRock customer suppor...
Summary: It's good enough for everyday light useage. But, if you play games, you might want to consider something else. This thing heats up my i5 Ivy bridge like no other. I game a few hours and it gets to about 55-60c. That's pretty high.
Summary: The main issue I have with this board is, the HDMI port being very lose, not a snug connection. I tried different cables, and it is little better in the case of some cable, but never the less small movement make it come out or signal loss.
Pros: Like the layout Plenty of SATA port, great for NAS Ability to undervolt,
Cons: HDMI port is so lose, mean not a snug fit, like other motherboards or tv etc.
Summary: I purchased the ASRock LGA 1155 Intel B75 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard for my budget build. This MB is cheap with only 2 DIMM slots so buy your RAM accordingly to allow for future upgrades. There is one PCI express slot and one PCI slot.
Summary: I tried to RMA my two boards with New Egg. I messed up on one of them and sent the board back in the wrong box. By the time I found out what I had done the correct box was gone. Fine. My bad. The other board was all matching and there wasn't anything I can figure out that would stop the RMA.
Pros: It works well. Everything is well marked and the mounting holes were all in the right place for my case.
Cons: I ordered six of these and two of them just wouldn't work. One started fine but had no video output. The other would cycle on and off indefinitely. The four that worked at all have been great. The other two... not so much.
Summary: This is not a board that you would want to get if you plan to upgrade to an SLI'd setup down the road, though with all that being said, it may only affect those looking to get 4k high def TV's to play games with.
Pros: The reviews are positive so far. I have yet to test it myself, but I have no doubt it will be a decent board for the price.
Cons: Very important for those not in the know. The second PCIe x16 slot is actually a PCIe x4. That means a second video card's performance SLI'd with your main card will drop the overall all performance of both cards, as they will both run in not only PCIe 2.0, but also at 4 lanes (x4) versus the ful...
Summary: I like this motherboard and its ok but I wish I had just waited a week and bought a full atx thats sli ready. I gave this board 3 stars because the connections for the usb 3.0, gpu, and 24 pin power connector are very flimsy and weak and if you move the 24 pin connector at all while the pc is on it...
Summary: I am using this for a budget gaming machine and it works as advertised. When installing all the drivers, the computer was rebooted with the cd in the drive. On reboot, it booted to the cd without notice and asked about creating a sata driver disk.
Pros: Very inexpensive board with USB 3.0, PCI X 3, and SATA 6 Gb/s. It works great and has solid capacitors. Supports Ivy Bridge CPUs. The BIOS is friendly and easy to learn. I have never used an ASRock board until now because I thought them inferior products and I was scared to death of an RMA, but t...
Cons: Only 1 SATA III port, although unless you use an SSD, the difference between II and III is negligible as a mechanical HDD can not max out SATA II. SATA III will only benefit SSDs. Too many confusing features packed in to this little package. I am still trying to find out if I need all the Intel t...
Summary: My board's PCI-e 1 slot was not functional. My graphics card couldn't be detected except in the PCI-e 2 slot, but because of the layout of the board, this solution would not fit in my case. Sent out an RMA request to Newegg today. Will probably seek out a board with a better layout of the PCI slots.
Pros: Decent mATX board for the price. Supports PCI-e 3.0 and USB 3.0
Cons: The layout, particularly the arrangement of the PCI-e and PCI slots, is unusual. Doesn't allow for two double-deck graphics cards in a mATX cube because the second PCI-e slot is at the edge of the board.
