Pros: after 2 rma of other mobos i finally chose this one but this one ended up defective also with a dead ethernet port and onboard audio. i was tired of rma and losing money to it, so i just bought a cheap soundcard n network card to replace it. the mobo is stable and hasnt failed on me yet. i like t...
Summary: If you are looking for an affordable micro atx board that does not skimp on the features
Pros: This motherboard works with Ubuntu Linux 7.10 (you have to use the Nvidia restricted driver to get 3D effects, but this is pretty easy to do). It has support for dual monitors (VGA and DVI). The BIOS will not spectacular has a good array of options. Runs cool with the stock heatsink for my AMD At...
Summary: DVI: untested, as my projector has a D-Sub connector. Firewire: untested, but shows up in the dmesg boot log just fine. Probably would do 1080p just fine, but my projector cannot handle that.
Pros: Installed Linux/Fedora 8 and MythTV as a HD-DVR with no problems. Base CD worked fine. Added to repos: atrpms to get MythTV software, and livna to get nVidia X drivers. Runs fine at 1080i or 960p with the onboard video.
Cons: lm_sensors does not read the voltages properly, but that is not critical since they are not expected to waver. It handles the temps and fan speeds fine, which is all one really cares about.
Summary: This was a fixer upper from my computer getting fried in a lightning storm. All power was unplugged but ethernet cable was left in my mobo which ended up killing my mobo and cpu since it uses copper wiring.
Pros: Excellent price, easily upgraded. Mobo is very clearly labeled for a quick installation compared to other boards I've had. BIOS has clear easy interface and calculates for overclocking.
Cons: sitting in the case the mobo seems slightly off center so my pci sound card doesn't fit in all the way, it still works but its not snapped in. Also the IDE power connector on the mobo is very close to the ram sticks which makes it hard to access.
Summary: Other than the above cons, it seems to work good. Runs stable, and I get good through put finally with my 7200.9 barracuda drive. I'd also recommend having at least 2GB of Ram if using the onboard video. Which may be causing the performance issue I'm having with GW.
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Had absolutely no issues with installation. The bios was easy to use and configure, included drivers on the cd's are up to date. And the sound is good. Other pros would be shader model 3.0 support, on a built in video processor. Which is good if you're using it till y...
Cons: Took 6 days to receive from the day I ordered it. Doesn't seem to perform as well in some games as my old agp fx5600 ultra card. Guild wars being the main one, may be due to finding the right settings though. Also, once I received it, the mobo box was not sealed, and looked like it had something ...
