Summary: I bought this to replace an ECS motherboard. The computer ran with the ECS, but it was never quite right, nor speedy. Plugged all the components into this board and it took right off! Its like having a bran new computer.
Pros: 128mb Sideport memory really helps out the integrated graphics. It can crossfire by having two PCIE slots on the board, so is upgradable. Gives you the option to CrossfireX-Hybrid or just plain Crossfire.
Cons: The cooling on the northbridge seems a bit weak at first glance. However, there hasn't been any issues yet.
Summary: It comes with some cool utility stuff that is useful like quick boot which helps improve boot times and whatnot. ASRock A780GXH/128m Mobo AMD Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition 4GB WINTEC AMPO DDR2 800 memory Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 250gb SataII 7200RPM HD Powercolor Radeon HD4830 GPU Windows 7...
Pros: This mobo i got as an open box instead of retail, it came with everything i needed still so that was great. it booted up first turn on. I Also like the built in 128mb memory for integrated vid chip, it makes things easier if the time ever comes when a video card goes out you have a backup and sti...
Summary: i built a machine with one of these, very good deal. Worked very well, i purchased another and when i went to turn it on an area near the RAM slots cought flame. Yes the motherboard was on fire, literally, and i do not mean blazing fast i mean literally blazing. Neweggs RMA service is great.
Summary: I installed this in an ASRock A780GXH/128M motherboard. I was a bit worried it wouldn't work since it isn't listed on the ASRock site as a compatible processor, but it worked beautifully. It booted the first time. The BIOS recognized it as the correct processor, and it recognized both cores.
Summary: I would have given this a 5 if it wasn't for the sound problems. The installation was pretty straight forward. It might have been better if the board came with the drivers for Windows 7. I got them off of the ASrock website with no problem however. This is a nice fairly inexpensive board.
Pros: Works well.
Cons: I had problems getting the onboard sound working and had to disable it in BIOS and install a sound card. The soundcard works fine.
Summary: I say this motherboard deserve the 5 stars. The price is right, crossfire support,oc utility, and extra sata cables if I need them in the future.
Pros: Good chipset Recognized all the hardware with no issues Very easy overclocking utility in the bios Crossfire support when I decide to grab another video card Overclocked my Phenom x4 9650 to 2.9ghz stable
Cons: Not really a huge con,but I am still new to the overclocking world of trying to get the 9650 processor to reach at least 3ghz.The bios option seems a bit confusing, since I see different ways of messing with the bios.
Cons: 2 boards, both doa.You only get 2 strikes here ASROCK,you are out!If this had not been for a customer,I might of went again,But after 2 weeks for the 1st rma,I can't put them off another 2 weeks!Newegg is great ,but this product ain't!Back to Gigabyte!
