Summary: I love this motherboard, it is by far the most stable and bang for your buck AMD mobo you can buy. Everything came perfectly packaged and in working order. The customization in the UEFI is insane you can change pretty much everything and voltages have no limits like my MSI mobo. The intel NIC is great, really keeps ping and loading times lower and more regulated. I have this thing at a stable 4.5ghz, I could go higher but I have no need.
Summary: The best Mobo I think out there for AMD users, easy as hell to OC the software is easy to use I did have a issue with the 3.0 USB as it sometimes locked up my PC. If you are running AMD FX 9590 you better get a liquid cooled system as this bad boy can run hot!
Pros: Well first off its one of the few boards that supports the AMD FX 9590. And also capable of holding 64GB of RAM!!! Which no other AMD Mobo offers. It took some tinkering and reading and thank goodness for Dr. Debug for the codes it spits out if your PC doesn't boot up because it helped BIG TIME. With this board you have to CAREFULLY place everything in it's place and make sure NO lint/dirt is in any connectors as it will cause it too shut off without warning. Thought ...
Cons: Any issue I had was because of my own doing once I figured out what to properly do this runs like a champ.
Summary: I spent a lot of time researching for a motherboard that could handle the FX-9590 properly and produce a highly stable system for video production, and ASRock caught my eye as the fore-runner with the power phase design on the Extreme9. I do not intend to overclock, but this is really what they were aiming towards, with a system that can increase power dynamically while holding to a very tight tolerance for fluttering.
Pros: 990FX, lots of PCIe lanes
Cons: The placement of the 4 PCIe 16X slots make it impossible to install 4 2-slot video cards into as two are right in sequence.
Summary: Came in a super nice box, shipped faster then way expected. A whole 5 days earlier then expected. Its much more simpler then it looks to add components to. It just looks sweet in general. The performance is flawless, I couldn't of asked for a better Mobo. Every socket is worthy of my use and I see this beauty lasting a long time.
Summary: I just build a PC that wanted to be able to overclock and use the latest processor. This went extremely fine with the AMD FX 8350. The only downside so far was the lack of integrated WiFi/Bluetooth. Package included 2-way and 3-way SLI non flexible connector and extra USB ports for the CD bay. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Summary: Well I knoiw I could overclock a cheaper chip but then I would not have a warrenty! I got this AsRock 990fx Extreme9 motherboard to run my AMD FX-9590 and after 3 months I have have 0 issues. When I checked the speed just now it was 5.01ghz and I have done 0 overclocking not even the AMD overdrive or the built in 1 button click overclocking provided by this motherboard.
Summary: This is, in essence, the perfect motherboard. Great features, great overclocking, and all around stable with no major issues. I couldn't be happier with it. This was a HUGE upgrade from my old Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3. That board was terrible, and after going through an RMA with it, endless hardware and BIOS issues, and terrible customer support, I will never own another Gigabyte board again.
Pros: This is hands-down, the best 990FX motherboard you can buy. It has so many features packed into it for such a good price that it's almost mind-blowing.
Cons: Very few cons, none of which are serious and all of which I had a way around or a fix.
