Summary: Tried contacting this company, ASRock, twice through "http://www.ASRock.com/Support/tsd.asp" that they claim they "will assist you shortly" in all their standard responses to critical reviews on Newegg.
Summary: I've been sitting with this defective board, looking for the opportunity where I can give it up for 2-3 week, and it just doesn't happen. So, ASRock, am I stuck with a defective board until I decide to buy another one, making your warranty useless?
Pros: Good features. Good selection of ports and connectivity. Seems to be built well.
Cons: Doesn't work properly. Supposed to support 32GB (or is it 64GB), I could not get it to boot 16GB (4 identical 4GB sticks) no matter what I tried -- even after working with their Tech Support. Many of the USB port -- including the USB 3.0 ports do not work -- even after upgrading all the drivers (...
Summary: Bottom line is you are taking a huge chance buying this board - there is no support or warranty from the manufacturer.
Cons: There is absolutely no support for this board. The manufacturer will respond to poor reviews stating "contact us at http://www.ASRock.com/Support/tsd.asp, We will assist you shortly." but they don't respond to you!! Don't be fooled by the claim of a warranty. The warranty is worthless since they ...
Summary: I have built many computers in my lifetime and this build has been by far the worst experience. This board is extremely sensitive and unstable. My computer will just suddenly shutdown with no warning. If I'm lucky it will restart after trying trying to reboot about 5 times. If I'm not so lucky Dr.
Pros: Looks good on paper.
Cons: Motherboard is unstable. Absolutely no support from ASRock. Worthless 3 year warranty since no one at ASRock will respond to you.
Cons: Hi Im doing a new build, with the part below all brand new, after putting everything together it didnt boot so I removed one of the memory cards and it did boot, but now when it start the PC I get these multiple errors on the motherboard it starts giving me codes 19 and C5 and it goes from 19 to ...
Summary: I'll get an RMA started and take it from there. I do like the board and hopefully we'll be in business with the next board. I tried to be as concise as I could with my review. Too many reviews where it was stated "handles everything I throw at it" or "runs like a champ".
Pros: The SATA connections, BIOS access through a mouse, easy BIOS navigation, speed through which my photography programs performed.
Cons: Unfortunately the USB had a lot of random screen freezes. The RAM sticks were tested with Memtest individually for 4 hours at a time. They were also tested together, all with no problems. H2testw showed a bad PCI IDE. Those things happen. The tests were run during and after multiple OS installs. ...
Summary: In short, after putting up with every possible curve ball from this board, I can determine without a doubt that it is, in fact, trash. I previously thought Asrock had stepped up their game from the days of old. I was very clearly mistaken.
Pros: Looks pretty, plastic wrap to protect the heat shields.
Cons: Like any well mannered and logical individual, I decided I would try to give this board a chance, despite having a frustrating out of box experience with the board (titled a bad start). Things were bad from the get go on this board. I wrote in a previous review that I was consistently getting err...
This was one of the worst motherboards I have ever had
21 July 2014
Summary: This was one of the worst motherboards I have ever had. I got it because it is one of the few that actually supports the AMD FX9590. It is definitely NOT for a beginner or even the casual computer builder.
