Summary: I'll get an RMA started and take it from there. I do like the board and hopefully we'll be in business with the next board. I tried to be as concise as I could with my review. Too many reviews where it was stated "handles everything I throw at it" or "runs like a champ".
Pros: The SATA connections, BIOS access through a mouse, easy BIOS navigation, speed through which my photography programs performed.
Cons: Unfortunately the USB had a lot of random screen freezes. The RAM sticks were tested with Memtest individually for 4 hours at a time. They were also tested together, all with no problems. H2testw showed a bad PCI IDE. Those things happen. The tests were run during and after multiple OS installs. ...
Summary: In short, after putting up with every possible curve ball from this board, I can determine without a doubt that it is, in fact, trash. I previously thought Asrock had stepped up their game from the days of old. I was very clearly mistaken.
Pros: Looks pretty, plastic wrap to protect the heat shields.
Cons: Like any well mannered and logical individual, I decided I would try to give this board a chance, despite having a frustrating out of box experience with the board (titled a bad start). Things were bad from the get go on this board. I wrote in a previous review that I was consistently getting err...
This was one of the worst motherboards I have ever had
21 July 2014
Summary: This was one of the worst motherboards I have ever had. I got it because it is one of the few that actually supports the AMD FX9590. It is definitely NOT for a beginner or even the casual computer builder.
Summary: But, for those who say they're are scratches on the heat sinks, just pull the plastic wrap covering off. This was my first and last AsRock Product and I don't need a response from the Manufacturer/
Pros: Great layout, many SATA's
Cons: one DIMM channel did not work. Blue screened while installing drivers twice. Instillation also turned off back panel USB ports. Had to go through heaven and hell to get 3.0 connectors to work.
Summary: I have used other asrock mobos in customer builds with no problem, so I am disapointed that the first I get one for myself I have problems.
Pros: looks great, dehumidifier, lots of features.
Cons: DOA.... you can hear i running POST the cd rom spinning, hdd spinning. no video report. So I tested the PSU, ram, vid cards, everything worked. I put it all together on the mobo box same results, so I sent it to newegg.com RMA department. I hope to get my replacement soon then I will re post.
Cons: DOA and Asrock does not honor its warranty... I should have done my homework before buying. I wish I had tested it when I got it but waited a month... Never buying Asrock again since they do not stand behind their product.
Summary: asus backs their motherboards for 3 years . asock offers 1 year to the DISTRIBUTER , who will only take it back for 30 days . ASUS is CHEAPER as well as better
Pros: I have nothing good to say about a company who employs deception when offering a warranty
Cons: a nightmare when setting up raid 5 . easy to create array but beware when installing os . Do not have keyboard/mouse plugged into usb 3/2 ports as these devices will freeze and prevent os installation . in bios I had to reboot several times to create raid driver disc . tech support left me for de...
