Should Have Been A 5 But ---

Carmen M., Newegg
10 June 2011
  • Summary: I really like this board but it looks like a product rushed out the door to be the first on the block. The bent pins on both boards did not happen in shipping, that was done at the factory.
  • Pros: Beautiful presentation when you open the box, exterior Bios reset switch, included heat pipe fan, included USB3 case front header, enough fan headers, booted right up to windows with no hitch at all. I really love this board, but:
  • Cons: Case header pins bent out the box ( I bought two and both were bent in the same place), rear motherboaed sata connector came loose. Came with a bios which you could not see unless you used a low end video card. Bios update would fix this , BUT , after the update one of the boards would stop and b...

I really feel like I'm beta testing this thing...

Aaron B., Newegg
17 May 2011
  • Summary: Cons (Prologue): bios accessibility. Now like most motherboards I have several options to attempt flashing the thing in hopes of restoration, two of which are impossible. The windows option which I can't use as I don't run windows and the ezflash option which I can't used because I have to be able...
  • Pros: Once I finally got everything sorted including by not limited to RMAing the first board I got, reflashing bios because it simply erased itself, and managed to actually enable the rear sata ports which are semi-off by default the board seems to be working great. Now onto the cons section for furth...
  • Cons: Cons: (Mudkips): shipment and the guy had sent it ups ground... now i don't know about you all but when I ship something out on wednesday and tell someone it will be there guaranteed by friday I surely don't ship it _ups ground_! Anyway my frustration comes and goes and moday I have my new board,...

Somewhat Misleading

Dean M., Newegg
6 May 2011
  • Summary: The board seems stable so far, but there are some quirks that should make people hesitate at spending $180 on this board. If you need the cutting edge AM3+ support, then it might be worth it.
  • Pros: Onboard buttons for CMOS Clear/Power. USB3 3.5" sled included with adapter for rear panel. Good power management features.
  • Cons: The rear eSATA port is not actually an independent port. It is switched with one of the internal sata ports. If you mount the eSATA drive, it will BSOD or kick one of your internal SATA drives. If you plan on using all your SATA ports, be wary of this. I've never once used a board from any other ...

This board will not support AMD FX processors without flashing the BIOS

Mr. David M. W. Martin, Amazon
26 March 2012
  • Summary: This board is supplied with BIOS version 1.40 which does not support FX processors. I bought this board and a FX-6100 to make a new computer. The bios was version 1.40. In order to flash it a Phenom AM3 chip needed to be obtained in order to allow the board to be flashed with a new 1.80 BIOS that...
