Summary: First of all, Abit makes great products. After having had issues with ASUS boards in the past (at least 4 of them), I have switched my loyalty and found it in Abit. Secondly, the IS7 is a cousin of the IC7 series. Being familiar with the IC7-G, I bought this board and bought it cheap. The board is not meant for overclocking like the IC7's but it still packs a punch and for a P4 478 board, it had many integrated components for its time.
Excerpt: "...always been a fan of Abit boards, mainly because of the quality and sturdiness, and also the price. This board is absolutely packed with everything you could hope to use - 8 (count them) USB 2 ports with support for 2 more, 3 firewire ports (big and small), cracking on board professional sound with digital in/out, 5 PCI slots, 4 RAM slots, P4 S478 CPU and AGP 8x support for your graphics. On the down side - As always Abit insist on a totally random ...
Pros: High build - quality, tools make overclocking easy
Cons: Abit's traditional 'random' board layout leaves wires hanging everywhere
