Nicholas W., Newegg
8 December 2014
  • Pros: Been years since I purchased this board. Still works flawlessly. Now it runs an E5430 LGA771 Xeon overlocked to 3.5GHz.

Impressive

Penny O., Newegg
7 April 2014
  • Summary: If you are using a CPU cooler with more than one fan, the AUX1 and AUX2 headers are near the CPU header, so that's handy. One reason I bought this board was that it used all solid capacitors, and not many other boards on the market at that time did.
  • Pros: So I bought this board 5 or 6 years ago. It keeps track of how much on time you've had, and this board has over 29,000 hours of on time and over 51,000 hours of time being plugged in. I used it as my main PC for 4 or 5 years and now it is in a new case as an HTPC running windows 8.1. Very tough, ...
  • Cons: Can be a bit finicky about boot devices. Sometimes it fails to see the hard drive after you've been changing things around inside even though it is securely plugged in, and really the only way I've found to fix it is to plug the hard drive into a different SATA port. Also, it has no boot menu. If...

Still Running Strong

Colin M., Newegg
23 October 2013
  • Summary: I am currently running a core 2 duo processor but that doesn't do the gmae 'Rome 2' justice so I was thinking of buying a new mobo and processor, but just found out (via this webpage) that this baby can support a core 2 quad!!! If I had know this I would have upgraded years ago!!
  • Pros: Bought this motherboard back in 2008 when I was a Jr. in highschool, it's still running great with no issues!
  • Cons: The user manual makes it seem like it can only run a core 2 duo processor at best...

Amazing board after 5 years and counting of Service!

Anonymous, Newegg
25 February 2013
  • Summary: I wished it had Sata III and USB 3.0 on it but i can always get an add on card to compliment this. Board is running with a Core Duo Quad, 8GB of RAM, Intel SSD (240GB)
  • Pros: Top notch quality board. Purchased this mobo in 2008 and I just recently upgraded the system and it is a hard working board.
  • Cons: No Sata III and USB 3.0 but we know very well these 2 options were not standards back then.

Awesome board

Adam B., Newegg
1 September 2012
  • Summary: I originally had a Pentium Dual Core E2160 in it, but earlier this year I upgraded to a cheap E8600. The E8600 is the fastest dual-core that this board "supports," but it wouldn't boot up properly. Apparently E8600 support is problematic...
  • Pros: Everything.
  • Cons: Now limited due to its age. E8600 isn't quite supported fully.

Still going!!

Thomas S., Newegg
11 July 2012
  • Pros: Mine is still going strong after 4 years with out a hiccup. It is my most trusted and reliable computer. I will probably keep using it for at least a few more years, so maybe I'll update you then :-)
  • Cons: Nothing much. It was expensive but was worth it. Sometimes their tweaking/overclock software would freeze up, but I managed.

STILL GOING!!

Gary M., Newegg
23 March 2012
  • Summary: I just HAD to come write a review for this board now that I'm finally upgrading... I've had this board since Summer 2007. Since then it's seen Windows xp, Vista and 7. It's been through 2 800GTS's a Radeon 4870, and is now running a Radeon 6950.
  • Pros: Everything about his board is a PRO. 5+ years of intense usage and outliving several generations of video cards. You do not get any better than this. Too bad Abit is no more. :(
  • Cons: Absolutely nothing.
