Summary: I've had this a while and it works every other week I get my hopes up because its working and then it wont even turn on for a week. Something is very wrong with this monitor...beware! Not a great investment avoid at all costs.
Summary: I bought 2 of these. Wonderfully BIG so much better than a 27inch. One started causing problems so I did some research. Turns out they have a power supply problem among everything. I count it fortunate given the other reviews i have found that it lasted 5 years.
Summary: Looked great initially. After a couple of years, the monitor would stay on when you would try to turn it off or when it went into suspend mode. I had to unplug the monitor to turn it off. Then the on/off switch broke. Research shows others with a similar problem. Conclusion: bad power supply design.
Good while it's lasted...but starting to fade...(in PC mode)

Summary: I got this big screen LCD monitor in 2007 and now 4 plus years into everyday usage it's showing some signs of breakage. I get snow when I switch to the vivid mode and the power button is malfunctioning. Tech sites say it's a cheap faulty capacitor.
Summary: I loved this monitor I had it for at least 5 -7 years right out of Highschool for my gaming desktop I had at the time the HD was crisp an it could run at 72Hz which was a small plus for back then. great color balance...
Summary: Though this is the first lcd i bought from VIEWSONIC; its not the first monitor that i've bought from the company. My Tube monitor worked great for a long time, so when i decided to upgrade to a bigger screen i trusted the brand and went with the 28" LCD.
Summary: I bought this monitor from a local "Big Box" store. It worked well for about one year. However, It gave off a lot of "heat" from the screen. It developed an issue with the power supply. To turn it back on (after sleep or power off) I had to physically unplug and replug power cord at wall or back.
Summary: for the engineering organization I help manage. 2 DOA. 9 have failed and been returned under warranty. It seems to be a weak power supply design. Initially we had good response from the RMA process but no longer. Even though they are very good when they work, I would try another brand.
Summary: I'll keep it short and sweet: I bought this because I wanted a monitor that didn't shrink my text into oblivion, and would run my games in a native mode that didn't make the graphics card struggle. This monitor has been perfect!
