Summary: It's an okay monitor overall. Nothing spectacular.
Pros: Looks pretty, very thin. Not a bad price for the size. Viewable angle is amazing.
Cons: No VESA support Monitor buttons to adjust source, brightness, contrast, and power are located in an awkward position and are hard to read due to their location. It's a pain to have more than 1 source connecting to this monitor. Also, received a red line down the middle of the monitor after 1 year...
Summary: Picture is great, no complaints. But, no way to mount this on a wall , or on something solid( like an articulated monitor arm) is just plain stupid. What does it matter if the panel is 1/2: thick if the non-removable base sticks out 4" to the rear and 2" to the front?
Summary: This monitor is just OK with my MacBook Air. I have tried to calibrate the colors to match Adobe RGB but to no avail. I called ViewSonic and they told me it's impossible to get the color to match - - so when I edit our photos I have to look at both screens to get the color right with Photoshop.
Summary: I purchased this monitor to use with a Mac Mini. It works pretty well. However, the instructions and the disk that accompany the monitor are completely geared for PC users. The disk doesn't autorun, and I could find no files that would run on a PC.
Summary: I bought two of these to put on my desk next to each other. I had intended to fabricate a mount so I could get them off of my desk. No VESA mount so they are stuck on my desk. I like them well enough that I'm not sending them back, but I would have bought something else had I realized I couldn't...
Pros: The monitor itself is great for the price. They are BIG. I've not been a fan of 16:9 format until I got these. They are actually tall enough to compare to the height of a 21" or 22" 4:3 format. Comes with VGA, HDMI, and DVI connections.
Cons: The speakers are a joke. At max volume you can vaguely tell that there is some noise coming from the base of the monitor. The speakers are in the BASE of the monitor. They aren't far enough apart to get any stereo separation at all. There is NO VESA style mount. You CANNOT wall mount this monitor...
Summary: I would give this 2-1/2 stars if I could. It worked great. Then, after 2-1/2 months, the DVI port blew up. It was working fine thru the DVI port. Then, one day, about 10% of the pixels turned solid green or purple while using that DVI port. It's pretty weird.
Summary: I am re-doing this review because the first two I received were defective. Both had cracked screens. The damage could have been done during shipment or packaging because these "frameless" monitors are pretty fragile.
Summary: I purchased this monitor to use with my MacBook Air. I'm a retired professional graphic designer so wanted pretty good capability without paying the price of a top of the line monitor. Before purchasing this I tried a Samsung from Costco. While it worked OK I was disappointed with the sharpness.
Summary: I will RMA this and hope for a better unit, because other than the stuck pixels and a few other minor quirks this is a steal for the price I paid.
Pros: Great colors. awesome viewing angle. (my first IPS. cant go back to TN after this) Nice thin bezel. No noticeable input lag. Movies and games look wonderful on this monitor.
Cons: Mine arrived defective. had several stuck red pixels near the bottom of the screen. they were very visible on dark backgrounds. OSD and power button placement is horrible.. No VESA mount. Junk speakers.
