Summary: No disrespect to the person who posted the first review but if they did 5 minutes of research they would know why the following happens. "Color accuracy is below average Color reproduction is washed out Overly bright and saturated contrast Poor black level" All you have to do is go to your nvidia control panel, adjust desktop colour settings and change the default setting of "RGB" to "YCbCr444", hit apply and viola, rich beautiful colours and blacks, contrast etc...
Pros: good overall. amazing colours, read my explanation below
Cons: no display port input but it's an older monitor so what do you expect? they could have put a dvi instead of the useless vga also.
Summary: have always bought viewsonic moniters, and will continue to do so.. the price is always right, the quality is always the highest. The moniter is sleek, bright, vibrant and everything they say it is on the description. There is no screen adjusting either, no need to move the screen the left or right, up or down, it will automatically do it, and do it perfectly.
Summary: I was going to give this a 3 star and possibly return it, until I started messing around with the settings of the actual monitor. I did a couple things through hue and such, but it was still just slightly blurry. I know you can get this when you get a monitor this large, but Viewsonic was such a reputable company and it got good reviews in the past. You must change your input from AV to PC. The sharpness will amaze you.
Summary: I am using this monitor with my new eight-core PC. Resolution is pinpoint sharp, right down to the individual pixels. The sound is crappy, but that's what a separate hi-fidelity speaker system is for. I especially like having two HDMI and one VGA input. This allows me to switch from the new PC, to my docked Razr Maxx, and also supports my legacy Dell Dimension 2400.
Summary: I upgraded from a 21 inch monitor and was thinking this is only 6 inches bigger. But what a huge difference that makes. It is great being able to put more things side-by-side when reviewing documents, or even just browsing directories. Screen is very clear, and I have it maxed out at the full 1920x1080 (1080p) with no problems. It is a very bright screen too. I currently have the brightness turned down to 20% and it is still nice and bright.
Summary: The power cord would not stay plugged into the Monitor, thus no power. Bad plug on the monitor?? This is the second Viewsonic I have had with similar "power" problems. My last 5 monitors have all been Viewsonic, but I will not buy this brand again.
Summary: I kept this monitor even though it has a serious power supply connection problem. It works...but don't touch the monitor or it will shut off at any time. I did not want to go through the pain of returning a large monitor so I kept it (which was probable a huge mistake) ALK
Summary: I've had two of these now. The first one worked for about 2 weeks, then started blinking on and off. Returned to Amazon, who sent out a replacement immediately. I've had it less than 48 hrs and it just suddenly turned itself off. Checked plugs, video card, ect. and all were fine. In about 15 minutes, it suddenly powered back up. Then after 5 minutes, it went off again. I think Amazon should withdraw these from sale.
Summary: Returned. Could not be recognized by my 2011 Mac Air. The product was light and easy to handle but there were no complete instructions for set up. The PowerPort seem to be shaky - it wiggled when I pushed the power cord in. I had to move it around in order to get the power into the monitor. One of the two HDMI ports was loose. It was difficult to get the power button to respond to my pressing - it would take sometimes five or six tries to get the monitor to turn on.
