Summary: Monitor worked well for 18 months and I was happy with it. However, at 18 months, the screen turned green (as has happened with a lot of other reviewers) with no way to correct the issue. The cost to have it fixed/RMA'd is high enough (shipping) that I probably won't bother since several people that did RMA their monitor got another unit that ultimately failed. This is the third Viewsonic monitor that I have purchased. Two of them didn't last 2 years.
Summary: I bought this monitor in May 2011 for its economical price, and I regretted almost immediately. The pixel quality is pretty poor, the hardware interface to try to center things doesn't work (for a long time my screen was complete off center by several inches), and just recently the monitor turned green. I looked up consumer forums elsewhere and it looks like this is a fairly common problem. Spend the money to buy a quality monitor like HP LP2465.
Screen died after 10 months. ViewSonic Support will not stand behind it.

Summary: I purchased 2 of these monitors on May 17, 2011. On March 19, 2012, one of the screens stopped working. I inquired via the ViewSonic website about support options and was told that the warranty is only good for 90 days! The customer service representative wrote: "Since you bought it last May 2011 then it is almost a year that you have the monitor. The 90 days is only for warranty." Then later said "It would be best to get a new monitor...
Summary: Both of my matching viewsonic 27' monitors have failed and the second failed shortly out of warranty. Their customer service sucks. The first repair required I pay for shipping to have it repaired. OK, I did that. Now with the warrant recently expired, the same all green screen problem happened to the second monitor, but they won't cover the repair. Telling me it's not a known issue.
Summary: I bought this unit last May, and was happy about it until 5 months later. There were two vertical lines appeared in the middle of the screen. I shipped it back to ViewSonic under the warranty. The monitor was back soon after, but instead of two lines, the screen was pitch back. I sent it back again, and asked for a replacement. Another refurbished unit came, and this time, the HDMI port gave me a blury screen.
Summary: First time I've purchased a ViewSonic product. Maybe I'm just unlucky. It has failed after only 6 months of sporadic use. Just beginning the process of trying to return it. From what other reviewers have said, I expect to pay big shipping charges to return a big/heavy item. May update later if the support experience is positive.
Died in less than 7 Months. Hard to understand accents of Tech support person in China.

Summary: I purchased this monitor 7 months ago and today is just died. Called Tech Support and had difficult time understanding Orientel women's accents. It seems they have tech support outsourced to China or somewhere. She told me to ran some diagnostics and since thet failed, told me to return the monitor at my cost to them and it may take 2-3 weeks before it can be fixed. My first Viewsonic Monitor and sure , The last one.
Summary: I purchased this monitor for my husband in February 2011 and it was a wonderful monitor while it worked. In June, the screen went green and we contacted Viewsonic for repair under the warranty. We were sent a replacement monitor and when we received it and plugged our headphones and keyboard into the USB ports the "new" monitor shorted our equipment out. It has now been a nearly month long battle to get someone on the phone at viewsonic to address our problems.
Summary: I purchased this monitor because of the price and because I thought it would be great for work and gaming, 1MS! I was wrong. My monitor arrived, I set it up and right from the start it had dead pixels which are really annoying. The blacks aren't black and same with the whites. The screen left alot to be desired compared to other monitors I've had. All 4 USB ports didn't even work.
Summary: Nice picture, however, it only lasted 4 months. At that point screen went green as others have reported. Currently returning unit to factory for replacement. Buy this model at your own risk. UPDATE: Replacement monitor was supplied by ViewSonic. I had to pay return shipping for the first monitor (~$20). Replacement lasted 1 month and the screen went purple. If you value your time, buy a different monitor.
