Summary: When I got this monitor delivered to my door I was first skeptical about the purchase I made. Don't worry, when it came to unpacking the item I was hit by how lightweight it was in my hands. I just enjoy now how this 24" spreads content all over the screen. I wish it was brighter by about 35%.
Summary: I bought 6 for the guys in the company that do not care about picture quality and just want big. Pros: 1) Price 2) Supports standard monitor stands 3) Can double as a spot light for grand openings or light house beacon Cons: 1) The stand is way to short 2) IPS screens are twice as expensive but more...
Summary: Well the colors are very rich, very nice looking screen when there is no video going, or game. However watching shows, and playing games the colors seems run across the screen. I was watching southpark and anything purple or bluish would make flickering lines across the screen.
Summary: I originally purchased this in January 2011. Just died tonight; suddenly went dark while using it, then would not recognized on two PCs with 2 different cables. I mean, I guess just over 5 years usage is alright, but I'd kind of expect a monitor to last longer than that.
Loved it at first, but having some issues with buzzing noise
24 May 2011
Summary: I bought this elsewhere online (JnR) back in late December 2010. My initial impressions are good, love the clarity, low power consumption, brightness, light weight, and price. However, in the past few days I've run into some issues with noise coming from the monitor.
Summary: I love newegg, but I have had to return 90% of everything I have purchased in last 8 months. I return to manufacturer so this way it is from a different lot. I do computer repairs and upgrades so this can be a pain for me. I know newegg just sells and does not make the stuff.
Pros: Very nice looking monitor, clear and bright.
Cons: The monitor adjustment controls did not work out of the box. So much for sale, have to send back through exchange program and wait for viewsonic to get new ones in stock. I did not want a fixed unit that someone returned. I have to wait (out of new stock) and now I'm out $24.00 for return shipping.
Summary: Decent monitor with VESA mounts. No height adjustment only tilt which is unfortunate. I got caught off guard with this display though as I ordered a couple and liked them a great deal. I ordered 5 more and was surprised to find no analog VGA cable in them any longer which the first two had.
Pros: Cheap LED backlight High Resolution (1920x1080) Works
Cons: No analog VGA cable included in box only DVI digital cable. No HDMI inputs No height adjustment
Cons: Bright. Only 3 out of 4 setting buttons work on the front of the display works. Cannot adjust contract brightness, contrast, etc. Used ATI Catalyst to adjust settings, but have to reactivate it each time I restart the computer. With three family users, not having working controls on the monitor i...
Summary: How were you able to get Win 7 64bit to recognize the monitor as VX? Any help would be greatly appreciated CyclopsSlayer. I am using an NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 256MB.
Pros: Unable to view at max res stuck on 1600x1200 as Win7 64bit see the monitor as a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor".
Cons: My VX2450wm-LED monitor is recognized as Generic Non-PnP Monitor. I even downloaded and attempted to install Viewsonics "Standard_Monitor_Driver_Signed_Win7_x64". It times out at the end of installation and requests I download "Standard_Monitor_Driver_Signed" from Viewsonic website.
