Summary: Great monitor. I needed a 1920x1080 resolution and used the included HDMI cable with my laptop that has a 1920x1080 resolution. This made it easy for using Remote Desktop maximized into other system I maintain. I was having a problem with a lower resolution monitor with having to scroll around the multiple remote desktops. Color and clarity are spot on and the Matt finish on the screen eliminates glare. Power consumption is negligible with LED backlighting.
Summary: Best computer monitor I've ever used. No heat. Even better, it's LED back-lit rather than fluorescent. That means there's no light bulb to blow out and render the monitor useless. As a retired/disabled desktop computer tech, I can appreciate the fact that this may very well be the last computer monitor I need to buy--and I expect to be around for at least another 20-30 years.
Summary: I bought this monitor as a companion to my 13" 2011 Macbook pro. I'm a Concept artist and illustrator and the big thing I was looking for when buying this monitor was the ability to calibrate the colors to that of my macbook. Out of the box, the colors of this screen were pretty ok, but not what I was looking for.
Summary: I hadn't purchased a ViewSonic monitor in about a decade; recently I've been purchasing from Dell. I was pleasantly surprised. The colors look good, although I haven't had a chance to do photo processing on it, yet. But for software development everything looks crisp and it's not too bright. The white looks just a tiny bit dull to my tastes, but nothing that gets in my way. Overall a great deal!
