Summary: I bought this because I needed a computer that had speakers and an HDMI port. This fit the bill and wasn't much more expensive than the monitor I had before that did NOT have HDMI or speakers.
Review of ViewSonic VX2370SMH-LED 23-Inch IPS LED Monitor
14 July 2013
Summary: Likes: Good price, very good quality display Dislikes: monitor controls are very hard to see and identify because of almost inaccessible position built into the monitor stand below and inches behind the screen. Very inconvenient to simply turn monitor off or on or adjust.
Summary: Just received this monitor today, and I already know it's going back. I just cannot get the screen to look vibrant at all. I mainly use my computer for internet surfing, document creation, little gaming, few movies and other everyday tasks. I wanted a nice clear, crisp and vibrant screen.
Summary: Love, love, love the crisp, non-distorted image this monitor provides. I mainly purchased it for photo editing, until I have some photos printed, I won't know how well it performs in that regard, but I do love the display vs. my laptop and the HDTV I would use as a monitor.
Summary: I got this monitor to replace a ViewSonic VP2365wb which I loved. Right out of the box I spent too much time trying to find the control buttons! The manual seemed to indicate that they were on the side of the bezel. Nope. Actually they are hidden on the stand, nearly behind the screen.
Summary: I would give this 2-1/2 stars if I could. It worked great. Then, after 2-1/2 months, the DVI port blew up. It was working fine thru the DVI port. Then, one day, about 10% of the pixels turned solid green or purple while using that DVI port. It's pretty weird.
Summary: This monitor is just OK with my MacBook Air. I have tried to calibrate the colors to match Adobe RGB but to no avail. I called ViewSonic and they told me it's impossible to get the color to match - - so when I edit our photos I have to look at both screens to get the color right with Photoshop.
