Summary: While it is 120hz resolution be warned it has no backlight, meaning it will look less-bright compared to most 1080 monitors. The resolution is odd, forcing any video editing of game footage captured into a 720 resolution for best results if uploading to an external site like YouTube. The sound quality is ok, though I'd recommend using external speakers.
Summary: I bought this monitor in hopes of having an amazing 120HZ display for Counter Strike Source,,, this monitor was amazing,, until I opened the box and say that it had a giant scratch at the top left... now this being the last of its kind on amazon. So a scratch was not of big concern to me , but then... I started my computer and noticed black 1mm vertical lines... when in 60HZ it is fine,, but 120 is corrupted.. big waste of time... and money..
Summary: I would like to make 2 points #1 This is *not* a drop in replacement for a CRT monitor for watching 3D movies and images. Though it has pure 120hz refresh capabilities , this mode, called "3D mode", isn't actuated unless you are using nvidia 3D vision with certain nvidia graphics cards. Otherwise, it uses a standard LCD refresh scheme which is incompatible with LCD shutter glasses (even when you're using the nvidia 3D vision glasses!).
Summary: This is the entry level monitor for 3D Vision computing via NVIDIA products. Other internet reviews regarding this monitor are accurate in saying that it is a good value and its weakest point is the base, which is not very steady or sturdy
Summary: I ordered it and it was "3d ready" meaning you have to get a 3d graphics card and expensive 3d NVDIA 3d glasses...whats the point? I sent back and was told my item was damaged after I paid to have it shipped to me and then shipped there..the customer service people were quick to respond its not their fault I guess they hustle common people like me via shipping and telling customers their products were damaged upon return and then reselling it to others who knows all I...
Summary: When I was playing competitive FPS games (CS Source) I constantly heard from many good and experienced players that 120 HZ monitors truly make a difference in your gaming. At first, I scoffed when I heard that. In my experience 120 HZ monitors either were way too expensive ($400) or were the unsightly and unwieldy old CRT's of the past and there was no way I was going to go either of those routes.
Summary: I used to pursue better mice, keyboards, hard drives, memory, processors, and such. I was unaware of the largest limiting factor: the refresh rate of my monitor. I bought this monitor mainly for 120 Hz, which it fulfilled my expectations. However, after getting over the initial positive shock, I realized the truth. Response times on regular 60Hz monitors don't make a difference at all. This monitor blows them all away. Everything is so silky smooth, it's amazing!!!
