Summary: very clean clear pick and works super, I run mine here at home for my video camera system 24/7 and it has super clean picture all the time I can watch all of my 8 cameras all the time and or zoom into any one camera at a time. I really do enjoy it and would say yes you need to own one of these.
Summary: Very nice monitor, but I found new prices somewhat steep. Actually, at time I purchased it was hard to find new in stock, even though it is described at the Viewsonic website. I got mine used from Amazon warehouse, at better than new price and came in excellent condition, however without original packing.
Summary: It looks great - the menus are a little tough to use, and the sticker that was on mine had to be scraped off with a blade. But other than that, it's a great monitor. The fact that you can turn off the LED when turned on is pretty awesome. I don't need a blue LED in my face all day!
Summary: Well, let's see. I needed a very fast response time for video editing and this monitors 2ms response gets the job done quite nicely! Then I hade an issue with the CFL backlighting causing greying of the blacks on my old monitor. Not a problem any longer with the high contrast of the LED backlighting on this Viewsonic. All in all, I have been quite pleased with this purchase and would recommend this unit for its price and performance!
Summary: It is great when it works. Had monitor about 6 months, developed 2 lines across screen. Contacted support. They told me it was covered under warranty, but I would have to pay to ship it to them, then when they got it they would send another. So I'm out a monitor and computer to ship from east coast to west and back again. No, I don't think so. Contacted support and told them it was an unacceptable policy, never got a response back.
Summary: Overall, the monitor is good and works well with no problems. The only complaint I have is that 1920x1080 does not fit the screen. On my old AMD GPU, 1920x1080 would appear on the screen with a black border all the way around it, not completely filling the screen. On my Nvidia GPU, 1920x1080 extends over all sides of the screen, so I can't see things near the edges.
Summary: There is no color intensity (saturation) control for this monitor and the nvidia driver has a saturation control for video only. The sound is poor. To see an evenly lit picture it has to be viewed so that your not looking directly at it, but at an angle tilted toward the viewer. The RGB color controls seem to be even throughout the range of intensities displayed.
