Cons: Monitor failed a little over a year into use. Has issues communicating with PC. In the process of shipping it to Viewsonic for repairs. Aside from the inconvenience, shipping cost for returning for repairs are a large fraction of the cost of the monitor. Clearly Viewsonic has QA issues.
Summary: Another lie to watch out for is the "100,000 MTBF" tag. I think the Asians mean minutes not hours. The 100,000 MTBF figure is ment to mean over 11 years between failures. Some of these systems you'll be lucky to see 11 months.
Pros: Worked great while it lasted.
Cons: I am so tired of losing electrionic equipment because of bad capacitors. Hopefully the replacement VX2250 will have better capacitors. http://wsrl.org/view-1.jpg CoolMax is another brand will will NEVER buy again. If you can find out, Rubycon (look out for imitations and knockoffs) is the brand t...
Cons: Side by side comparison with another brand showed terrible performance. Returned the original under warranty and the replacement still did not stack up. I do a lot of wide spread sheets and other wide formats for court and will have to replace this monitor very soon. Will never purchase this again
Summary: I have over 30 years of computer experience. Don't buy this monitor model.
Cons: I tried 2 of these VX2250wm monitors and both were fuzzy and had slight discolorations. They both had phase, frequency and size problems. The auto-adjust doesn't clear up the screen image. Parts of the image are blurry and parts are clear. You can never get the entire display to be crystal clear ...
Summary: Last time I buy from these guys. Good job, China.
Pros: Decent monitor for the price, if it works
Cons: Viewsonic products seem to last about a year and a week and then go on the fritz as soon as they're out of warranty. Last one I had developed a power issue and started squealing, then eventually stopped working entirely. This one started developing a nice big area of bright background glare the s...
Summary: Viewsonic technical support is very poor compared to a few years ago.
Pros: It has a nice Look to it, extremely light weight. Screws into base, I hate the monitors that just snap in.
Cons: Horrible Back light bleed, and when i put up side by side views between it and my old monitor, coloration is horrible, and blacks look blue even though it has 5 times the contrast ratio of my 4 year old monitor. I chat with viewsonic technical support, and they tell me I have to RMA with newegg b...
Summary: The monitor has good visual quality, and was inexpensive, but it appears you get what you pay for. The problem is that the Audio Control adjustment pop-up constantly opens up on the screen, and the only way to get it to go away is to cycle power on the monitor.
