Summary: Only a week after the date of eligibility to return this item and the screen has turned green! I've reviewed the policy and it is cheaper to keep than it is to try for the partial refund. I've no recourse left but to accept the loss.
Summary: This monitor was trouble since day 1. There were random streaks of light throughout my usage. Then by week 2, the monitor read "no signal" when I turned my computer on. There was finally signal after I turned my computer on and off a couple of times. Then, a couple more days into it, it read "no signal" again. This time, no matter how many times I turned my computer off and on, it still didn't work. I tried to save, but ended up wasting my time.
Summary: The monitor worked for about one day. Then the audio menu (and occasionally the main menu) began appearing on the screen and cycling between mute and audio control. The control buttons on the monitor had no impact on the menu. After reading and following the directions with no success I tried locking and unlocking the OCD. It seemed to work - and then the process would start all over again. I'm sending it back - and grateful for Amazon's return policy.
Summary: This monitor requires a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which my computer could not do, even after installing the driver that comes on the CD packed with the monitor. The ViewSonic instructions say, in that case, to get a newer video card for the computer. I checked with Dell and it was not possible to buy a replacement video card for my Dell computer. So basically I would have to buy a new computer to use this monitor. No way!
Summary: Wow - I received a defective unit. Sent it back at Viewsonic's expense and have a replacement unit - Same exact problem! The issue is that the menu buttons don't actually control the onscreen menu. the onscreen menu has a mind of its own and toggles between things at random and unceasingly. Can you believe 2 in a row!
Summary: This was a great monitor for about 7 months, but then I started having problems. The audio menu would randomly appear and it would cycle between volume and mute, not allowing exiting from the screen.
Wonderful display, but serious reliability issues...

Summary: First off, the screen was gorgeous. The picture was vivid and clear. One of the best LCDs I have used, other than my imac. This monitor was used on a Dell running Windows Vista 64bit. After 3 or 4 days of use. The On Screen Display (OSD) menu began opening itself and flashing between selecting brightness and contrast. You could not exit the OSD using the monitor's buttons, rendering the monitor useless.
Summary: yea, view sonic very cheap brand + quality really bad. I use iMac 21 that hook ups to this monitor and color variances freaking annoying. if i chose to be bright then i can't read the text, but then if i lower the color temperature it looks much darker. DO NOT EVER BUY view sonic.
