Summary: after buying one for home, I bought another for work. The second for work was cheaper thru Amazon than the first one bought thru the office store.I'll be buying another for the wife's computer.
Summary: ViewSonic VX2235WM 22" Wide LCD Monitor The monitor performs very well. Colors are crisp. When the monitor is set on its recommended resolution, the font is too small for some people comfortably to read. Therefore, we have reduced the resolution setting. We like to wide screen.
Good reviews were right on, so I wont repeat them here.

Summary: I like the S*****g with 3 way adjustable controls better. It is a must on such a big monitor. VGA cable included is of low quality. Dont ask about the speakers, never tried. "Piano Black" becomes cheap plastic up close, and it catches dust like crazy!
Pros: Bright & crisp. Native resolution 120dpi chinese words, not so crisp... not monitors fault.
Cons: IT FLICKERed LIKE SHIMMERING HEAT IN A HOT DAY! Before everyone crys faul, I have to add: it is connected to a GMA900 laptop via VGA. I tried 3 things: update driver, increase vram memory, and used a thicker shielded vga cable than the one included and saw noticable improvement. Therefore I concl...
Summary: When getting a Viewsonic monitor you know you're buying a quality product from a company who KNOWS their business. They back this up with a 3 year warranty along with great customer service (owed VS CRT's in the past). You can't go wrong with this baby...get it..NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: I got the VX2235wm only after comparing side to side with the Samsung 226BW & The Hanns-G HW-223DPB. Concerning the Samy I saw the "C" LCD, no wait .....maybe it was the A or G,H,J who knows it was just "ok" probably not a lottery "S" version. Now, I'm no fool cuz I know that those 2 LCD have a 1...
Cons: Outputs are lacking but has everyone you need to get started.Speakers are weak (don't use anyway)Bleeding is there but barely. I wish stand had an all-black piano finish but thats a personal preference and not really a true con.
Summary: It's a good monitor for the price, but there's still few things missing that could make this monitor one of the bests. Things like an ideal stand for flexible viewing angles like dell, Usable buttons, Quality speakers, and an improved video quality that some other 1680X1050 monitors in this price...
Pros: Looks great whether turned on or off.
Cons: Horrendous buttons, Stand is not flexible enough like other monitors, Video quality could be better and sharper.
Summary: Why in the world do all the renowned LCD manufacturers offer large screen LCDs with built-in speakers? If someone can spend about $300 for a monitor, they most certainly have external speakers with stereo or possibly even 5.1 or 7.1 sound. Built-in USB 2.0 hub would make a heck of a lot more sense.
Pros: Large flawless picture, DVI allowed for immediate installation and desired resolution setup, the DVI video card (8800GTS) made the 1680x1050 available and is displaying nicely ever since.
Cons: Built-in speakers are truely puny and should be used only when your external speakers are broken or absent.
Summary: All things considered, I love this monitor. It's Big & Bright, with no ghosting or other artifacts while watching video or playing games (that I noticed anyways) The base is fairly stable, but it has no height adjustment :( Viewsonic claims the backlight has an average life of 40K hours (yeah,...
Pros: Big Screen Bright & Vivid Colors 5ms Response Rate Fairly Stable Base VERY long lasting Backlight (or so they claim)
Cons: No Height Adjustment Slight Light Bleed on Top & Bottom Setup Menu is not very Intuitive 1680x1050 Resolution might not make older video cards happy
