Summary: As nice as Viewsonic has been about all my problems I don't think i'll buy Viewsonic again.
Pros: Awesome picture! Fast!
Cons: Started out with a VX2025 and after 6 returns they upgraded me to the VX 2035 and it had problems so now they upgraded me to the VX2235 but the DVI connector has gone bad. I've had the VX2235 for 4 1/2 months.
Summary: First the good, the monitor is fantastic for the price, they keep getting better and cheaper and since this monitor is about half the price of the 24" LCD's out there it provides for a great price/performance ratio.
Summary: I bought this monitor for my wife about 3 months ago. A few days ago, the DVI input started malfunctioning (I would be able to display in 640x480 resolution, but not higher; also the computer would not recongnize this as a plug&play monitor).
Summary: Great monitor for the price, just very basic features and a few quirks to be aware of.
Pros: Great, sharp picture, no dead pixels. Good color reproduction and no visible ghosting in games, looks great for widescreen movies.
Cons: First, the buttons. They are small and inset, I have to use my nails to push them which is a little annoying. Then comes gaming. In a non widescreen resolution, eg 800x600, I could not for the life of me get this monitor to do anything other than stretch to fullscreen on my NVIDIA card. From what...
Summary: At a 75hz refresh rate, text is alot cleaner and graphics/games are cleaner and faster. Although manual says it will run @ 75hz at a rez of 1400 x 1050, it won't. Very dis-appointing, since viewsonic wants to pass the buck and says it's my video card.
Pros: Overall, picture seems better using the DVI cable rather than VGA. But, you can only adjust the brightness of picture via on-screen controls when using VGA. The LCD is BIG. Good solid stand, not tip'zy. I don't know what the official viewing angle is, but it's fine for me, no problems. 3yr warrenty.
Cons: PDF Manual on CD that came w/LCD, states that the VX2235WM supports a refresh rate of 75hz at the resolution of 1400 x 1050; which it DOES NOT! I'm very dis-appointed w/this fact, especially considering Viewsonic's Manual says it does. The only time I can run a refresh rate higher than 60hz is wh...
Summary: According to ViewSonic, Newegg does not provide return service. So I thought no problem, but VS requires (and uses) the full 15 WORKING days to service a product with issues. So I have been almost a month now without a monitor.
Pros: The image is incredible as long as it remains on. So it was awesome while it worked.
Cons: My monitor had one dead pixel, and would not stay on for more than 60 seconds.
Summary: I originally bought this at Cxxxco (Newegg did not carry it at the time) got it home and set it up - updated the drivers off of the web, etc - but nothing helped - monitor lacked 'punch' and sharpness so typical of ViewSonic monitors - replaced it with a ViewSonic VG2030wm 20.1 for less money - .258...
Pros: Big screen
Cons: Image has slightly washed out effect - text is 'soft' not sharp
