Summary: Purchased from a brick and mortar store 4 months ago. Would give it 3.5 stars if it were an option.
Pros: Overall this is a good monitor if you will be using it for gaming and high definition media viewing. Contrast and response time is very good for the price this monitor is being sold at. Black and white text reads clearly. Price is excellent for the monitor size and resolution.
Cons: --Placement of the adjustment buttons on the side was not very well thought out. --Light bleeds along the edges, colors are a bit oversaturated even after calibration, so may not be best option for use in design environments where color reproduction is critical. --Speakers are useless. --Power co...
Summary: I got this monitor to replace a CRT. I should have went with another CRT. Viewing the desktop at 1920 x 1080 splits my head open with eye strain and pain, everything is too small. Changing to a larger size makes the desktop blurry and videos play terrible.
Summary: Despite the clarity, there are white bleeds on the top and bottom of the display! If I wanted to watch something from a distance further then the chair I'm now sitting on, that becomes far more prevalent! Be careful for what you want this display for.
Summary: I received the rebate, thanks Viewsonic. Radeon 4830 512MB GDDR3 Intel Q9300 - 2.4Ghz G.Skill Pi 8GB DDR2 800Mhz
Pros: 1080P and okay price after rebate. Monitor looks nice (I did not say display). No dead pixels. No bleeding.
Cons: Display is not that great. Image appears flat; I expected better from Viewsonic. Dynamic contrast feature can make darker images very hard to see/read (can be turned off). No HDMI adapter but you can buy one off E b@y for under $4 with shipping.
Summary: I bought this for $200 which was the best deal for the specs. I wanted a bigger computer monitor with a 1080P resolution so I could also watch Blu-Ray in my office. The display was OK but not what I expected. I have a 1080i LCD that is 3 years old that is Surprisingly much much better than this.
Summary: Haven't used the speakers yet, but the screen real estate is pretty nice. The only complaint I have is my previous LCD handled blacks much better. This one kind of has a constant gray, even for blacks. I tried tweaking all the settings but the backlight is just a bit bright.
Pros: Decent price. One of the few 22" 19x10 resolutions No dead pixels
Cons: Pretty gray, the better LCDs have darker blacks
Cons: Emits a quiet but audible hum of about 570Hz whenever the screen is on (doesn't matter how bright or what resolution, as far as I can tell). If you're sensitive to noise, or if you're working with music or anything like that, this could be a show-stopper. I really want this thing to work since th...
Summary: Overall it is an ok deal for the price. I personally wish I had just spent a little more for a samsung instead.
Pros: The picture is bright and sharp. The resolution is great and the price was nice.
Cons: The monitor makes annoying creaking/cracking noises after being turned on for a good 15 minutes before it is warmed up. The bezel is an insane finger-print magnet and is impossible to keep clean looking (even with careful cleaning it has a blotchy look under certain light). The speakers are horri...
