Summary: I bought a Viewsonic VX-2000 to match my existing monitor so I could setup dual screens. The monitor was in good shape but was missing a cover on the back of the monitor. When I emailed the seller (twice) afterward to ask about it I didn't receive any response which is why I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5. Overall happy with the purchase though.
Summary: Huge clear colorful screen at a great price- I had been looking for a flat panel for a while before I finally decided to dive in to this one. I've always trusted the Viewsonic brand and it didn't let me down- I use it for the computer and as the main entertainment center! -- across the room or right in front of it- you won't believe your eyes + it's 2way!!!
Summary: great monitor. we have several at work. the sync has a wide locking range. It locks up to the old hp 9000-series 200 computer, does not lock solid, but good enough to use. Of the new monitors that I have tested, it is the only one that will lock to the old hp computers.
A monitor worth buying.. if you know what to use it for

Summary: This monitor is very spacious and looks beautiful. I enjoy using it, but there are a few objections i have, including the following: ~It has a 20ms response, so there is ghosting when i play fast paced games. ~It has a very squarish look, not great for multitasking, and you can almost fit two pages side by side, something that would have been a lot more helpful when i do my homework and projects. ~DVI connection... works great..
Beautiful display, speakers are a huge disappointment

Summary: This is a beautiful display, but I wanted something that has built-in speakers. My last display, a Planar flat panel, had about what you would expect from tiny built-in speakers and they served their purpose. I guess I didn't realize what I had -- because the speakers built-in to the Viewsonic display are so poor that it sounds like a $5 children's toy. HUGE disappointment, considering the size of the display and enclosure.
Summary: Hello again i have now swapped my VX2000 for a VP201S and the following can be said. VX2000 have a better image quality. VP201S is alot better in fast paced games for example Return to castle wolfenstien and Painkiller because its a 16 ms screen compared VX2000's 25 ms. If you dont play games get the VX2000 its cheaper and better image quality. Also if you only play slow paced games like strategy games this is probobly ok.

Summary: Great Monitor but games beware this is not the monitor for you. Hello Picture Quality = Awesome best i have ever seen. Normal PC use ex browsing Internet = Same as above Just awesome. Movies = very well i recommend it for movies. Games = NO.. do not buy this monitor if you play 1st person games where you use mouselook alot because you will have noticable ghosting effetcs.
Summary: We have 2 VX-2000 monitors that we use to show multimedia at trade shows. The monitors are one of the best LCD units on the market, with rich vibrant colors and sharp image quality. One great quality is that they handle various resolutions (other than the native 1600x1200)such as 1024x768, without getting fuzzy like most lcds do.
Summary: This review is not for the monitor - I'm sure it's nice. However, the "24 shipping" is total BS. I ordered on the 7th and PAID FOR one-day shipping. It's now the 10th and I haven't gotten the monitor. According to Amazon's website, I should expect it on the 12th. That seems to be 5-day shipping, so why did I get charged for one?
Summary: This monitor is awesome you will be pleased with the crisp picture and 170 degree viewable range. I can view this monitor no matter where I am sitting in the room with no loss visually from any direction. I had a 17" crt monitor before I bought this monitor. This monitor is better than my old 17". I also watch tv on the vx2000 monitor through my computer and it performs flawlessly. My monitor is currently plugged up via the analogue port not the DVI port.
