Have loved Viewsonic since my first 15 CRT. They are rock solid

Summary: bought this unit used to replace defective screen (cat knocked off desk and screen cracked) in same model. Not only was unit in great shape now have lots of spare parts. The last VX1945wm lasted almost 6 years expect this one to last for at least 3 but with all the spare parts who knows. The only flaw or issue people have is with the Caps.
If you need a 19" monitor that's really nice, get this one!

Summary: Bought this as an upgrade and it more than fit the bill. It does require two 3.5 mm stereo audio cables, with one being a 2in1. Hook up all cables according to the downloadable user guide, under 'desktop monitors'/'discontinued products' from their homepage. Then enjoy the built-in 2.1 audio(that's right, it has a sub in the base unit w/vlume control), the 8in1 media card reader, microphone, headphone jack, and 4 USB 2.0 ports(3 front/1 rear) and an Ipod dock.
this is the best monitor I've ever had, and I highly recommend it!

Summary: I opened this monitor, and right out of the box it was amazing! I plugged ti up and got everything runnings, and it's so much clearer than any other monitor I have had! I've only had monitors before with the resolution of 1024 x 768, and this monitor is 1440 x 900. It's higher resolution, and more items can fit on one screen! I also love that it has a built in speaker, an ipod dock, usb ports, and sd card slots. Also, the dock even works with my iPhone 4s!
Summary: This a great product that produces a crystal clear picture at a resolution of 1440 x 900. It also has an IPOD dock and SD card readers built in the base. ViewSonic is the real deal, don't hesitate because their name isn't Dell, Sony, or HP!!
Summary: I was a little leary to buy a refurbed monitor. I priced new and used monitors, but decided to take my chance with this one. I am very glad that I did. I have had no problems what-so-ever. Clean, clear images, good audio....VERY NICE MONITOR. I love the IPOD docking station. I can charge and play my IPOD directly from my monitor. I also have good words to say about the company I purchased it from. I did not know how to set it up at first.
Summary: I have used this monitor for our family room PC for over 3 years now. It is an excellent product and we have not had one problem with it. Speakers are great for low level listening to music or internet without blasting everyone out of the house. Granted they are not high quality surround sound big noise speakers but they are not meant to be. I have owned four previous ViewSonic monitors, all worked great.
Summary: Most of the reviews really go after the sound on this LCD. I just purchased it for my office, and honestly I'm very happy with it. The sound definitely is not the same as the separate box speakers, but with the thinness of LCD's (similar to laptops) they rarely are. The subwoofer addition is a nice touch, and does help remove some of the "flatness" from the sound.
Summary: I've had my monitor for two months and I couldn t be happier. The picture quality is excellent. I find the ipod docking station nice and all the accessory connectors being build in extremely convenient. I bought this model for the build in ipod station. But the picture quality and all the added features where the icing on the cake.
Summary: If you are looking for a widescreen monitor, this one is it. The picture quality is amazingly clear, and if you own an Ipod, then the dock will be so much of a convenience. The base has many options, most useful of which is (besides the Ipod Dock)the USB connectors. Unfortunately, the Ipod Dock does not fit on the Zune, which I had recently purchased. The sound from the speakers are good, and the base can be modified at the base of the monitor.
Summary: I bought this moniter because it is the only one on the market with an iPod dock. I like it's appearance and it was simple to install. The flat screen has given me oodles more space on my desk. No problems with overheating, in my experience. There are more access ports than I could possibly use. The iPod runs independently of the moniter so no interference. Having read about the weak speakers, I kept my speakers and if anything now,I would say it is a booming success.
