Summary: Purchased July 2009, quit working Aug 2011. Black backlit screen, no images, both ports do nothing. I should have gone cheaper with LG, I got hung up on a 2ms video response... never did figure out what affect that really had.
Summary: I bought three of these monitors at the same time, when they work, they work good! the first one quit after 3 months, next one at about 6 months, the last one lasted a full year before it needed to go back, they have all been back to the manufacturer at least twice EACH, the last time I just had to pay shipping BOTH WAYS.
Summary: I read all the reviews about the VX1940W monitors, both on Amazon and on sites like CNet, and based on those reviews, I decided to purchase two of them to replace my older 21" Viewsonic glass monitors (CRTs). That was a huge mistake, so I returned them as soon as I could. I have since replaced them with Dell G2210s, and I am extremely glad that I did. I have an older, but heavily upgraded Dell desktop, with an NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS video card, a P4 3GB CPU, and 3Gb RAM.
