Summary: I have a old CRT ViewSonic G773 from 10 years ago and it still works like a champ. I bought this ViewSonic VP930b because I expected the same thing. Within 3 months I already had a random weird color shift where certain shades of gray (like the ones found on many desktop menus) would actual ANIMATE and flicker around. Quite annoying. At the time I thought it was my video card until I got a new computer and the issue still happens.
Summary: I have 2 of these ViewSonic monitors that are running on 1 computer. I prefer the traditional size rather than the wide format because the picture is more realistic and not squashed. Thess monitors have great detail and great color range. I would buy them again...
Summary: I purchased this VP950 to replace a failing VP930, since the VP930 is no longer available. I use several VP930 in a multi-display mode, and have been extremely happy with the quality and consistency of the picture. The VP950 however, does not live up to the expectations of its predecessor. While the picture is brighter, it is not consistent; there are noticeable "hot spots" over the screen. The top right is more red than the bottom, which is more blue.
Summary: My wife used an earlier 19inch ViewSonic monitor for her PC. I needed a display for a G4 PowerPC Tower Mac that I still have because it runs OS9 in addition to OSX. I decided to try a ViewSonic because of the good life we've gotten from the other ViewSonic we have. I wanted a 19inch, 1280 x 1024 monitor of standard aspect ratio (NOT wide screen) monitor. Also wanted an anti-glare monitor and NOT a glossy monitor. The VP950B works quite well ... sharp colors.
Not for photo editing. Seriously, not for photo editing.

Summary: I received a VP950b as a replacement for one of my VP930b's. I bought the 930's because of their reputation as a good photo editing flat screen monitor. And they are pretty good for the price, when compared to other monitors by Lacie or Eizo. However this VP950 is a completely different monitor.
Summary: This arrived on time and in perfect condition. The assembly instructions required some creative interpretation, but all is well now. Pictures are worth a thousand words but some English would have been appreciated.
Summary: This review is about Viewsonic's customer service and is not about the quality of this monitor. The VP950b replaces the VP930b and that monitor is great when it works, but 3 out of the 4 monitors I had did not work. Worst of all is their customer service. The first monitor I returned had a bad DVI port. Weeks after I sent it in, they returned the same monitor and nothing had been repaired.
Summary: I recently purchased the VP950B, and now that I've used it for a couple weeks, I really am pleased. I'm a pro photographer, mostly doing fine art photos, and it replaced an older quality monitor, which is now the #2 monitor, where I keep all my toolbars for PhotoShop. All my images that were previously edited on a good quality calibrated monitor, look stunning! Two downsides. 1.
