Excerpt: I'd start with the build quality on this which is superb. The stand is rock solid, and you can lift it to a very high position. The stand never rocks even when I apply some pressure to the desk. The matte coating is also great, it's not grainy at all and is a pleassure to look at. It's not reflective at all. Color accuracy is excellent, and the contrast is perfect with the matte coating.
Pros: Adjustable Viewing Angles, Great picture quality, Large Viewing Area, Reliable Performance
Summary: I have been debating for months on which monitor to replace my old HP 22", I actually had the LG 34um95 on back order which would have been about 8" wider and probably very cool. While waiting, I decided to cancel my LG order and order the VP2770-LED instead. I saved $325 and ended up with a great monitor. I put this saving toward a ScanSnap iX500 (which blew my sox off), but that's another review altogether.
Summary: Price is not a con here. The VP2770 is pretty well priced in comparison to similar monitors avaliable from Newegg right now. Yes, it does carry a -bit- of a premium, but it doesn't feel like that money is being wasted. You're getting some very welcome benefits for that extra cash: Most notably, a PWM free backlight. And thats a serious, serious deal. Never buy monitors with PWM (such as the ASUS PB278Q). Seriously. Don't.
Pros: This is a very exceptional monitor. The colors are fantastic, the PLS glow is minimal, and pixel reponse times can be adjusted to a very reasonable level for what results in far less motion blur than other IPS/PLS/AHVA/etc monitors on the market right now. All monitors tend to have pros and cons (the elusive "perfect" monitor doesn't seem to exist right now), but this one particular seems to sacrifice little and balance everything out quite nicely.
Cons: -In my personal experience, this monitor graphically glitches up from time to time when switching users in Windows 7. Not sure why.
good quality but it is a customer return item, not a brand new !!

Summary: 3 stars is only for the quality for the monitor, sharp and crispy image from my Mac Mini... need to buy a mini-port to display port cable to product 2560x1440 resolution, thats no big deal and acceptable~~~~~~~~ The reason i gave out 3 stars is the monitor I paid for and I received is not a brand new monitor !!!!!!! only power cable and VGA cable come in sealed bag, the display port cable and DVI cable comes in with out any packaging !!!
Summary: I was impressed enough with my first IPS Viewsonic, that I purchased a second one. The image is terrific, and there was not a single pixel either stuck on or off - same with the second monitor. Both are on daily, and I have not had any infantile electronic failures.
Summary: I have been running this monitor from my laptop display port with no issues for a few weeks now. What I like: * The 2560 x 1440 resolution is rather impressive. * Screen is more of a satin look, not glossy. * Colors seem spot on right out of the box What I don't like: * Makes the other two monitors I have next to it look like garbage. My current setup is 3 monitors with this one being my center and two 21 inch monitors in a vertical orientation on either side.
Summary: Every gamer's dream monitor! No dead pixels and the screen is almost too bright at 50% brightness setting. The additional screen real estate at 2560 x 1440 really helps for video editing too. Best monitor I've ever owned.
Summary: I bought the VP2770 based upon all of the great reviews. First the packing is great and it was delivered in two days from TheNerds Store. Came with all of the cables one could need to connect to any video card. I'm using the Display Port. The Picture quality is Amazing! The only Con that I have is the base has very large feet and takes up desk space. But it also means that the monitor is very steady.
Summary: It is an outstanding display. The display color quality is supper clear. It is a truly professional monitor. I can change color mood instantly within a few clicks. I had six monitors (3 ViewSonic and 3 Asus) and this monitor is the best one. I used them mostly for stock chart graphic display and some for web surfing. I choose this LCD for both.
