Summary: This is just a short notice to point something out that has just come up for me. When I bought the monitor I was using Windows XP and have switched to Windows 7. I agree with all the great reviews that have been written about this monitor but one of its features that is important to some people is the pivot (the ability to put it into portrait position instead of landscape).
Summary: I first bought an LG 2480D monitor, but returned this as it had a green bar down the center. I had to have an IPS monitor for my work. After 3 months of research, I decided that this was the best value. I absolutely love this monitor. Beautiful image. CONS - text is a little washed out and blurry. The blacks are not pure black. The card I use is an NVidia GTS 250, so this monitor might deserve a higher end card. -downward facing outlets.
Summary: Like everyone, I searched all the buyer and professional reviews here and elsewhere for a monitor in this size and price range. Mostly the the pro sites favored certain Dell and NEC models, but then came the chance to get a used one from Amazon's warehouse deals for a very nice price. I decided to go for it as if it stank, I could return it. For those who may buy used Amazon products in the future, I say go for it.
Finally, a high quality affordable monitor for my Mac - ???

Summary: [UPDATE AUG 10, 2012] Good-as-new monitor just arrived. I had almost forgotten how nice of an image it has after a week of using a Vizio 1080p as a monitor (terrible colors for use with a computer). Considering the price, image quality, and excellent customer service, I will chalk my monitor's failure as "these things happen" and again happily give it 4+ stars.
Summary: I purchased this monitor six months ago from Amazon and am extremely impressed by it's clarity and color - it makes working with photos so much easier. However, BEWARE of the PerfectSuite software that comes with the monitor. The software worked well when I initially set up the monitor, but when I launched PerfectSuite six months later, it immediately crashed and took down my display drivers with it (I have Windows XP SP3).
Summary: I am a photographer and wanted a new monitor with accurate colors to accompany my 2010 Mac Mini. I did ALOT of research and for the budget I have and the general size of the screen I wanted (23-27"), this was the best bet. At $290 it is a lot to pay for a 23" monitor, as you can get almost 27" for close to that price, but I wanted color accuracy. This monitor has been wonderful to work with and is a lot bigger than I thought it would be.
Summary: I am a commercial photographer and I bought this for my home studio (the work machine is hooked up to an Eizo ColorEdge). The ViewSonic has a very wide viewing angle and seems to adjust well using an EyeOne. The only issue I see is that the screen is slightly pink on the left side and slightly green on the right side. I've seen this on two different ViewSonic VP2365WB's. Again - slightly but I can see it.
Summary: This is the monitor I use with a Mac at my job as a graphic designer. I had an older (clear plastic) 20" Apple LCD monitor that bit the dust. The company didn't want to spend the money for another Apple monitor. For under $300 this looked like what I needed. I have been using it for a couple of months now. The colors are nice and accurate, enough for the the work I do which gets printed in house on a high end digital printer.
Summary: I've had this monitor for 3 weeks now and am completely satisfied with my purchase. I was tempted to spend more money on a LaCie monitor for professional photo editing, but I am very glad to report that this monitor delivers what I needed in a very affordable package. As long as you have a good color calibration device, the monitor will perform nicely for detailed, color sensitive work.
