Summary: Started flickering when turned on but flickering stopped after warm-up. Now it comes on for a second, then goes black. It's the monitor, not the PC. Still under warranty but two years isn't much of a lifespan.
Summary: Watch out on this one. I checked back with Amazon and I had this product exactly 355 days. And without any warning the monitor just died. The screen goes black and it never does anything. I can get the View Sonic name to appear at start up and then its gone and the screen is black.
Summary: I wanted a good quality monitor for photography and design work, that would "hold" a calibration and "play nice" in a color-managed workflow. I had been looking at this monitor for quite some time, and finally pulled the trigger because it had been replaced by a newer model.
Summary: This is a wonderful monitor. I use it mostly to view pictures since I am a free lance photographer and the colors are true to the Photoshop® RGB color scheme.I would recommend this monitor, especially for photographic work.
Summary: This is my first IPS monitor. I bought two because I was upgrading my laptop and wanted a dual monitor system with good identical HD monitors. I did a good amount of research and realized that IPS was the way to go if I could afford it.
Summary: My primary goal was to identify the unit that eases eyestrain and physical tireness when looking at a computer screen 8 hours a day. My son always comments about my blood shot eyes. I remember Viewsonic monitors as making decent CRT monitors in its day.
Summary: I bought a 28" monitor for work, but I wish I'd spent my money on this 23" gem instead. This 23" monitor I use at home is way better. It's easier to look at for long periods of time. It is plenty big enough to multi-task with multiple windows "snapped" to the edges.
Summary: A warning if you're planning on buying this monitor for it's "portrait" mode or calibration software. The software drivers for those features, that come on the CD, don't work right for everyone.
Summary: We purchased this monitor to replace a 21" CRT about a year and a half ago. My wife uses it as the display for her laptop when she works at home. The display is very easy on the eyes. The finish is matte, not glossy, so glare tends not to be a problem.
