Summary: While connecting my windows laptop gives me a reasonable image quality and a good value for the price, the monitor driver for my Macbook 13 totally sucks: type fonts show blurred and hard to read. A couple of hours working on my gmail gave me a headache. I contacted both Apple and Viewsonic, and I'll I got is one blaming the other and vice-versa. If you have a Macbook and are capable of walking without glasses, you'll hate this.
Summary: I've been through two RMAs now and even the 3rd monitor has issues. The first had a handful of dead pixels and the second two had/have dead grey spots spread over the screen. Now Viewsonic won't even RETURN MY RMA REQUESTS. Worst company ever and I'll never, ever buy another Viewsonic monitor ever. Unbelievable. With shipping costs my on sale monitor has become super expensive and still messed up.
Pros: Able to fantasize about a monitor that works. Screen has good maneuverability. Big monitor.
Cons: 3 monitors with either dead pixels or permanent grey spots.
Summary: This is just about the best monitor I have ever owned. I have 4 others and this is by far the best picture and most flexible from a height and adjustability perspective. Nothing more to say, other than I love it. I am actually going to buy another one as soon as I finish this review.
Pros: - Picture is fantastic - brightness and contrast are perfect - no discernable bleed around edges. - Adjustable height is excellent - does not move on slider like other models. - Swivel and tilt are great as well - Many USB hub connections
Summary: The 27" screen is great, resolution is beautiful. The only thing I would have liked was an HDMI connection. I have 3 monitors hooked up and I had to go to 2 because I needed an HDMI to fit all the monitors to my video card.
Pros: Great monitor but only works for just over a year
Cons: I had a small dead pixel spot in the lower right corner and kept growing and growing sent the monitor to be fixed and by then the small spot was the size if a golf ball that had extended to the middle of the monitor. What was the "findings" of ViewSonic? that it was the result of an impact. Would have made sense if it had started where the large spot was but i sent them a picture of when it had started so basically they were telling me that somehow the monitor had bee...
Edges glow from backlight. Limited vertical viewing angle.

Summary: Surprised how good this screen is for the price. If would be five stars if the edge glow wasn't so strong. When watching movies with the lights out the top and bottom edges of the screen glow from the backlight. If you mount the screen directly at eye level then you have to tilt it down a little bit. This is because it has a very limited vertical viewing angle and they assume you will use the included stand which would position the screen a below eye level.
Summary: I had twin ViewSonic 22" monitors that were upgraded to these 27" ViewSonics. I like the extra viewing space, the slightly larger text, and the higher resolution. A USB AB cable (not furnished) is required to activate the 4 USB ports on the monitor, but once installed there are 2 ports on the left side (easily accessed and very handy) and 2 on the back with the other connectors (which is puzzling since they can't be accessed without walking around to the back of the...
