Excerpt: As a regular desktop monitor, it is extremely useful with the two USB ports located in the bottom of the monitor.I am part of a department, in an academic institution, which will benefit greatly from the features of this monitor -- allowing us to function in a more efficient manner than before. The screen is easy on the eyes because of its clarity and size, and the webcam will be useful for teleconferencing within the office - reaching candidates/colleagues near and...

Summary: I love my ViewSonic monitor. Years ago I had a ViewSonic monitor and also liked it very much. Someone at Best Buy talked me into buying a Westinghouse and it was nothing but trouble .... so I am glad to back with ViewSonic.

Summary: The monitor itself is OK if you are just using it as a display. but if you want to use the webcam for video conferencing, it falls short. the webcam is not very good quality and the microphone is horrible. It is a cheaper solution to buy a similar quality display and add a HD webcam that offers much better quality than paying a premium for this monitor with built-in webcam.

Summary: So, this is obviously only going to have 2 usb ports, and yes they're only USB 2.0, BUT the quality of the picture over Displayport looks fantastic, the speakers are a little quiet, but work, and the microphone and webcam are really quite impressive. The camera's picture quality will be great for Skype, and the microphone doesn't echo, don't ask me how.
Excerpt: This product is supposed to be Mac Compatible. I could only get the monitor to function. None of the software works on current Mac computers. I was finally able to find that if you hook up the monitor with a usb cable, microphone cable, and speaker cable in addition to the monitor and power cable you can get the accessories to work, and not just the Monitor.
Summary: ViewSonic claims that this product is compatible with Macs, but it's not! Technically, you can use it as a basic monitor but you can't use the webcam, mic, or speakers. I found that out AFTER I bought it and tried to set it up. The user guide & CD won't even open on Mac OSX (because Mac no longer supports Power PC applications). I tried downloading the user guide from the ViewSonic website but it's written for PCs. They don't have a user guide for Mac users.
Excerpt: Good display. Keep in mind that 24" is big. The built-in speakers are not great, but I mostly use them for quick audio stuff and for a sound for a new email coming in. The web cam gives a good picture. if you are running this off of a laoptop with a webcam, as I am, you will have to go and select which webcam you want to use. This was a bit confusing but I finally figured it out.
