Summary: it was bought as a gift. but, from what i've seen it a realy nice monitor. i wish i had one for myself. i bought for my girlfriend, when hers took a dump. she was taking online college classes and need a quick replacement. for the priceand quality, i couldn't pass it up.
Summary: Ease of setup is what I liked. Right out of the box it worked first time with no problems. It does have a more detailed set up for thoes who like to go full scale and adjust everything. Light weight with a solid base and a very clear/clean picture. No dead spots. I thought is was a good choice at a low cost with a good warranty.
Summary: I have another Viewsonic monitor and like it very much. I've had it for a few years. So when I had the chance to get this one I jumped at it. It works well and looks great and it's wide screen. I highly recommend Viewsonic products.
Summary: I was using an eMac before and purchased this along with a Mac Mini. Overall, I'm very satisfied. For the money I couldn't find a better monitor with these specs. The telescoping stand is a great feature, as is the ability to tilt the monitor. The controls are somewhat lacking, but I just set the monitor to its default settings and then calibrated it using a Spyder2Express, and I'm very pleased with the results. About the only negative are the speakers.
Pros: Great picture quality, Large Viewing Area, Monitor tilts, Telescoping base
Summary: This is about my 8th Viewsonic monitor for good reason. They are all still in operation and provide clean, crisp imaging. This 19" smaller version of my favorite VG2230wm was purchased for home use in a second office/party room for streaming slide shows during parties and for monitoring film scanning of archival slides. It has a quick response, fine color rendition, and a slim bezel profile that makes the image the center of attention, not the monitor.
