Pros: Runs games great, good color contrast. NO DEAD PIXELS after more than 5 years of nearly daily use.
Cons: The built-in speakers were not necessary. I've never used them, but after 2 years they started making a crackling sound every time the monitor was changing resolution (for example, starting a game). I've also had problems with this monitor constantly shutting off/on and requiring a computer resta...
Summary: In general, I'm not too happy with this monitor and will be replacing it very soon. I considered Viewsonic quality to be pretty high across the board before I used this monitor for 4 months. Their CRTs were/are great. I also can't believe Newegg shipped me this in the box the monitor comes in.
Pros: Pros: fairly inexpensive, at least at the time I bought it.
Cons: Already has one very bright/light blue colored stuck pixel which is highly annoying. Shows a large amount of light around all 4 edges of the screen and leaves black colors as more of a charcoal grey, generally. All colors are brighter than normal, even after some adjustment. Speakers are beyond u...
Summary: I bought this for our second system and replaced an older 17" LCD. This is so much nicer and for the money, delivers a very good picture. My wife uses this for graphic work and she hasn't complained once. Well, she did say how nice it was and the bigger screen was perfect.
Summary: The few cons I have listed are very small and insignificant. For the $250/ea I paid for two of these monitors 6 months ago, I really got my money's worth. I'm actually looking to buy a third soon.
Pros: I checked out a few LCD's online before deciding on this monitor. Graphics and text are very crisp and clear (I'm using the DVI inputs on both monitors that I bought). The monitor is very bright, so bright that i usually have the brightness turned down to 30-40%.
Cons: I wish the monitors didn't have the built in speakers, they are kind of a waste. If you're using multiple video inputs (analog and DVI), the monitor will auto-select the source which can be annoying. I also wish the monitor had adjustable height.
Pros: I can finally work on my computer without my glasses. I changed out my 15" monitor with this 19" flat screen. It fit in less space than the monitor. I can finally close my deck top. No more scrooling the page back and forth to read things. Just fantastic. Super clear image.
