Summary: This was just an okay purchase. The monitor works okay, but the Auto Image Adjust and Manual Image Adjust cannot be selected. I’ve installed the latest driver, but still no good. Other than that, it works fine.
Summary: I bought this monitor fom eBay and yes it is used and yes it is a few years old though those idiots saying it doesn't work after a while the screen goes out whatever they must of dropped it and blamed the product for themselves. Don't you listen to them this is one great monitor. I noticed going from a CRT 21" to this one the picture is so much better and crisper and I have never seen color come out so well on a computer screen as this in my home, thank you!
Summary: I prefer dual 4:3 monitors over one 16:9 (or even 2 16:9s). The reason being is that you have to go fairly large with a widescreen to recover vertical real estate. I can get 1024 vertical resolution on a 19" 4:3 monitor when nearly 25" would be required to get the same vertical resolution from a a 16:9 setup. Not to mention that the Viewsonic provides near pro quality color reproduction for a fraction of the cost.
Impressive with great quality, but one dead pixel!

Summary: Received the monitor from Tigerdirect in about 5 days after ordering with standard shipping. I was surprised it was not sealed in the Viewsonic box, and could be opened easily, with only a UPS shipping label attached. It seemed to be all right with everything inside and in perfect condition.
Summary: I have had several of these monitors. I use a two-monitor set-up. - The backlight on the first burned out one month out of warrantee. ViewSonic would not replace the first monitor- fair enough as it was out of warrantee. I purchased a replacement. When it came, the screen was blue, and the color could not be adjusted. ViewSonic sent a replacement which had a green screen, and again, the color could not be adjusted.
Summary: I bought this from frys and am returning it today. Maybe it's only me, but mine had really bad quality and distorted images. I had 17" LCD monitor from viewsonic and was replacing it because it has similar problem. Now, 19" has same problem and I am done with viewsonic. I am not going to use viewsonic monitors again. Instead, I am going to try samsung ones.

Summary: I was looking for a second monitor when I upgraded my Mac so I could let my husband use it. I had borrowed this monitor from a friend while we were in the process of finding cables for my old monitor and was really impressed with the quality so I bought one for my husband. No problems with installation or use. Great quality at a great price.
